Do Rotten Tomatoes Critics Worship ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’?

Critics Divided Over '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple', But the Consensus is Unsettling.

The latest installment in the 28-year-long zombie saga, '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple', has been unleashed upon the world. With a 93% "fresh" critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 123 reviews, fans are eagerly anticipating the film's release. But what do individual critics think of Nia DaCosta's unnerving direction and Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell's inspired performances?

While many critics are giving '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' a glowing review, praising its bold and mind-bending approach to the zombie genre, others are less convinced. Peter Debruge from Variety calls it "bold, mind-bending work" that satisfies the craving for a zombie movie with brains, while Mark Kennedy of The Associated Press describes it as "absolutely bonkers – and a triumph".

Phillip De Semlyen from Time Out goes even further, saying that 'The Bone Temple' is one of those rare sequels that improves upon its predecessor, while Stephanie Zacharek from TIME Magazine gives it a "rotten" rating despite the film's promise.

However, not all critics are won over. Odie Henderson from The Boston Globe and G. Allen Johnson from the San Francisco Chronicle both give '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' a "rotten" review score, criticizing the script for spending too much time with less interesting storylines.

Despite these mixed reviews, one thing is clear: critics are divided over whether '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' is a triumph or a misstep. But with its gruesome scenes and thought-provoking themes, this film is sure to leave audiences talking. Will it live up to the hype? Only time will tell.

I dunno about all these mixed reviews 🤔... seems like some people love it while others hate it? I mean, 93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes is pretty good right? But at the same time, if some of them are saying its "absolutely bonkers" and others think its "rotten", it's gotta be kinda split down the middle 🤷‍♂️. I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies myself, but Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell seem pretty talented actors 😊... maybe I'd give it a shot just 'cause of them? But honestly, I'm still on the fence about it 💭... might've to watch it for myself before makin' up my mind 🎥

omg i just saw the trailer for 28 years later the bone temple and im FREAKING OUT!! ralph fiennes as a zombie sheriff is EVERYTHING 😂🧟‍♂️ i loved the first film but this one looks even more intense 🤯 nia daCosta's direction is always on point, can't wait to see what she does with this sequel! 💪 and that twist at the end?! mind blown 🤯 still not sure if it's better than the original tho, but i trust critics who say its a triumph 👍🏼 let's just get ready for some serious zombie fest vibes 🎥👻

Ugh, I'm low-key disappointed in this one 🤔... I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a good zombie flick as much as the next guy, but 28 years is just too long for any franchise to sustain itself. It's like trying to cram an entire lifetime of nostalgia into a single movie. And with all the mixed reviews, I'm not even sure if it's a case of critics being divided or if some people are just getting spoiled by their expectations 😅... still, there's something about Ralph Fiennes' presence that makes me think this could be good 🎥

🤔 I think what's really getting people riled up is how '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' defies expectations in the zombie genre. On one hand, you've got the die-hard fans who are excited for more of the same – fast-paced action and plenty of gore 😅 – but on the other side, you've got critics who want to see a different take on what makes a great zombie movie. For me, it's about balance: if 'The Bone Temple' can bring that fresh energy without sacrificing the emotional weight of the characters, then I'm all for it 🎥.

Personally, I'd love to see more nuance in storytelling – those "less interesting storylines" can often be where the magic happens, you know? The film's got some great performances from Ralph and Jack O'Connell, but when you're as hyped up as we are, you always want a little more 🔥. So yeah, critics might be divided, but that just means it's doing something right – even if not everyone's on the same page about it 😊

I'm not buying all the love for this one... 93% on Rotten Tomatoes can be super misleading 🤔. I mean, what's with the criticisms of the script being boring? Less interesting storylines isn't necessarily a bad thing, imo 👎. And have you seen the cast? Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell are no joke 😂. But at the same time, it's like critics can't make up their minds... some say it's a triumph, others say it's bonkers 🤪. I'm just gonna wait for people to actually see the film before forming an opinion 🎥👀

I've been watching the trailers for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple and I gotta say, it looks intense 😱. But honestly, 93% on Rotten Tomatoes seems a bit high for me... I mean, some of these critics are giving it glowing reviews, but others are saying it's just bonkers 🤪. Odie Henderson from The Boston Globe gives it a rotten review and says the script is all over the place... that makes me wonder if it's really as solid as people think 🤔. I'm still excited to see it though, I love a good zombie flick 💀. But we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out on the big screen 🎥.
