Driver strikes and kills woman crossing Brownsville street, then flees, police say

omg that's so sad 🤕 she was just trying to cross the street and it happened... what's going on with all these accidents? do you think people are driving more recklessly or something? i mean i know the traffic stats for NYC were good last year, but stuff like this can happen anywhere. i wish they had a better way of detecting distracted drivers... my aunt got into an accident once because she was texting and didn't see the red light 🙈
 
Man... 😔 just heard about that woman who got hit by a car in Brooklyn. It's so senseless, you know? One minute she's walking across the street, next thing you know she's lying on the ground with severe injuries. I mean, what even is 6:50 am? Is everyone else out and about already or was she just trying to get to work quickly? 🤔

And it's crazy that no one has been arrested yet. You'd think they would have some leads by now. The NYPD is asking for witnesses to come forward, but what if people were too scared to stop and help? What if they didn't see anything? 🚨

It's just so frustrating when these things happen. I mean, we're supposed to be living in a safe city, right? But sometimes it feels like that's not the case. 🌆
