I'm like super shocked that someone would use derogatory language towards people who are incarcerated... it's just so mean and hurtful 
especially coming from someone in a position of power. Like, how can you just downplay the fact that you said something wrong and make everyone else feel bad for calling her out on it? 
I don't get why she wouldn't just apologize or take responsibility for her actions... and now Eddie Gibbs is even thinking about not running for re-election because of it

. I think it's really brave of Gibbs to speak out and share his story, even if it means he won't be running for re-election. He deserves to prioritize his safety and well-being 
. It's a shame that the speaker's office hasn't taken action against Brown, especially since she made some pretty hurtful comments about people in prison 
. I hope that her behavior will make people realize how their words can affect others
