So I'm thinking, what's the point of having a team captain like Tim Henman if he's just gonna sugarcoat every situation? I mean, sure, Emma Raducanu was close to playing, but we don't know what happened for real, right? Maybe she pulled something major and didn't want to risk making it worse. And yeah, she had been practicing hard, but so has everyone else... 
I'm not saying the team is gonna tank or anything, but Henman's optimism about Raducanu's chances feels a bit too optimistic. We should be more realistic about her injury and how long it'll take for her to recover. The fact that she had to withdraw from the match so close to playing is already giving me doubts...
But hey, at least we got that doubles win with Neal Skupski and Olivia Nicholls! That's a good start, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. We've still gotta play some tough matches if we wanna make it out of the group stage.
