FA Cup: How to watch and listen to third round on the BBC this weekend

The BBC will be showing 22 ties of the FA Cup third round live on television or streaming platforms, with highlights available on the BBC Sport website and app.

Two matches - hosted by National League side Macclesfield and the Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur - will be shown live on BBC One. The Silkmen face defending FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in Saturday's 12:15 GMT kick-off before Spurs take on Premier League rivals Aston Villa at 17:45 GMT.

Highlights from all games will be broadcast on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app on both Saturday (22:40 GMT) and Sunday (22:30 GMT).

Live text commentary will cover all of the weekend's action. Digital highlights will also be available on the BBC Sport website and social media channels.

You can listen to 19 matches from the FA Cup third round across five radio stations, with coverage including BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds and local BBC radio stations.

To find coverage on BBC Sounds, scroll through the radio dial or tap on the match you want. Alternatively, simply use the name of your local BBC radio station.

You can also download the BBC Sounds app in the UK to listen to live commentaries and digital highlights.

📺 The FA Cup third round is finally here! I'm so stoked to see all these matches go down live on TV 🎉! Two of my faves, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace, are playing, and it's gonna be a crazy day of footy ⚽️. I love how BBC is giving us so many options to catch the games - from streaming to radio to highlights 📺👍. It's like they're making it easy for everyone to get in on the action! 💥

😊 I'm still trying to figure out how they manage to show so many matches at once... like 22 ties? That's insane! 🤯 They must have some crazy production team behind it. But hey, it's all about getting the football fans excited for the weekend, right? 👍 I do wish they'd consider streaming some of the matches online for those who can't make it to the stadium or don't have a TV... just saying... 📺

I'm not surprised they're showing all those matches live 🤔. I mean, the FA Cup is a big deal for English football, and people want to see their favorite teams play. The fact that two of them are playing on BBC One is pretty cool, Macclesfield hosting Crystal Palace and Spurs taking on Villa will definitely make for some intense games 🏟️. And yeah, it's awesome they're offering live text commentary too, so fans can follow along even if they can't watch the whole game in real time ⏱️. I'm just hoping my local team doesn't get knocked out early, that would be a bummer 😐!

Ugh, another opportunity for us non-football fans to shell out cash for overpriced snacks 🍿👀. I mean, who needs a social life when you can watch 22 matches with friends and just eat popcorn all day? 🤪 At least the BBC will be showing some decent games, though - Crystal Palace vs Macclesfield is shaping up to be quite interesting 💥. And hey, if you're one of those Spurs fans who still hasn't gotten over that '93 final 😂, this might be your chance to relive the magic... or not 🤷‍♀️.
