Oh man, this is just heartbreaking... I mean, I'm glad the FDNY showed up so fast and all, but can you believe it took FOUR HOURS to put out a fire in a high-rise building?

Like, what's going on here? And to think that one person lost their life... it's just devastating.

And the fact that there were 150 apartments evacuated as a precautionary measure is crazy, you know? It's like, we should be prepared for disasters like this, but at the same time, it's scary when they happen.
I don't even wanna think about the people who got hurt... I mean, eleven non-life-threatening injuries and a dozen others with minor injuries are bad enough, but what if someone had died from those minor injuries?

It's just not right. And can we talk about the firefighters for a sec? The fact that one of them got a non-critical injury is wild... I mean, I'm glad they're okay, but come on! You'd think you'd be more protected in a fire like this.
Anyway, I guess all we can do now is wait for the investigation to find out what happened and hope that whatever it was, it doesn't happen again soon.
