OMG what just happened I knew the right-wing parties were gaining momentum but 46 seats is insane! I'm still trying to process how Sanna Marin went from being the youngest PM in the world to losing her seat . Orpo's message about "fixing Finland" sounds kinda sweet, hope he delivers on his promises . Reducing public debt and austerity measures might be a good start, but what about education and healthcare? I'm also curious to see how Marin handles the loss of her party's majority . And ugh, the Finns Party's stance on immigration is super concerning ... anyway, wish Sanna all the best in whatever comes next

I'm worried about what this means for Finland's future . I mean, Petteri Orpo is all about austerity measures and reducing public debt... isn't that just gonna hit the most vulnerable people the hardest? My kid's friend's single mom works hard just to make ends meet, and they can barely afford childcare let alone pay taxes

And what about immigration? I know it's a big issue in many countries, but reducing it just feels like another way to stigmatize people who are already struggling to get by . I'd love to see some more nuanced thinking on this from the NCP.

It's also weird that Orpo is talking about "fixing" Finland... isn't that just code for cutting services and reducing spending? My kid's school has been really great, but I've heard rumors of budget cuts already happening. Fingers crossed they don't affect the teachers or arts programs

I do hope Marin's Social Democrats can govern effectively, though - Finland needs a steady hand right now . And hey, at least we'll finally be joining NATO and standing up to Russia... that's a big deal

OH MY GOSH I'M SO SHOOK THAT SANNA MARIN TOOK A HUMBLE DEFEAT AND PETTERI ORPO IS GOING TO BE THE NEW PRIME MINISTER OF FINLAND!!! I FEEL BAD FOR HER SHE WAS SUCH A YOUNG PM AND SHE FIGHTED SO HARD BUT IN THE END THE VOTES JUST WENT AGAINST HER.

I'M ALSO NOT SURPRISED THAT THE NATIONAL COALITION PARTY WON - THEY HAD BEEN GAINING SUPPORT AND PEOPLE ARE GETTING TIRED OF MARIN'S GOVERNMENT SPENDING AND LIFESTYLE CHOICES

BUT I'M PROUD OF SANNA FOR STANDING UP FOR FINLAND'S NATO ACCESION AND THE COUNTRY WILL STILL BE SAFE THANKS TO HER HARD WORK

omg u wont believe wot happend in finland they had an election nd sanna marin (ther youngest pm eva lol) lost to petteri orpo nd his national coalition party its all bout austerity nd fixin the econ they said they'll cut public debt from 70% (wow thats a lot!) nd curb deficit spending but marin still got alot of support esp among youngins & its prob cuz she's relatable

Ugh, this Finland election just goes to show that no matter how hard you try, the platform can still be a total disaster . I mean, Sanna Marin had such a strong track record on NATO and now she's got nothing to show for it? It's just frustrating . And don't even get me started on the Finns Party being "openly racist" . Can't we just have a respectful conversation without all this drama? I swear, every time I come here, there's some new controversy or another... it's exhausting .

And what's up with the NCP's promises of austerity measures? Are they really going to make Finland's economy better off? It sounds like more of the same old thing . Anyway, I guess this is just another example of how hard it is for young leaders to make a difference in politics...
