I'm totally shook by this news . A major tech firm like Capgemini partnering with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency is super concerning. I mean, can you imagine? They're basically profiting from helping to track down people who might be fleeing trauma or persecution . And what really gets me is that they had a hotline for victims of human trafficking... it's like, you'd think that would be a way to help them, not to aid in their capture .
I'm all about holding corporations accountable and demanding more transparency from our leaders . We need to make sure that these companies aren't getting away with using their power for nefarious purposes . It's time for some real change and a lot more scrutiny .
I'm seriously worried about this... big corps like Capgemini think they can just partner with ICE without anyone asking questions? It's not okay that they're profiting off helping to deport people, even if it's under the guise of fighting human trafficking. The fact that they managed a hotline for victims of exploitation is especially messed up - it sounds like they were more interested in helping ICE do their dirty work than actually supporting the victims themselves.
And what's with the "we didn't know" spin from Capgemini's CEO? If he really didn't know about the contracts, how did his company get involved in the first place? This whole thing just reeks of corporate greed and a lack of accountability...
this is so wrong capgemini should've done more research before partnering up with ice human trafficking & exploitation are major issues undocumented immigrants don't deserve to be tracked or targeted ICE needs to rethink its whole approach it's not just about enforcement, it's about people lives transparency is key accountability should be the norm
