Google AI Plus is now available in the US for $8 a month

Google has just launched its most budget-friendly artificial intelligence (AI) plan in the US, with prices starting at $8 per month. The AI Plus subscription will give users access to a range of tools and features, including 200GB of storage and the Gemini 3 Pro model, Deep Research, and Nano Banana Pro models within the Gemini app.

The Gemini app is particularly noteworthy, as its Nano Banana Pro tool can generate images that are almost indistinguishable from those taken with smartphone cameras. The AI Plus subscription also grants access to Google's Flow filmmaking tool, Whisk image-to-video creator, and NotebookLM research assistant - all at a fraction of the cost of the company's top-tier AI plan.

AI Ultra, which comes with 30TB of storage and access to the full suite of AI tools, costs $250 per month. In contrast, the more affordable AI Plus option cuts the price in half compared to Google's AI Pro subscription, which includes 2TB of storage and additional tools like code assist.

The AI Plus plan is now available in all regions where Google sells its AI services - including 34 new countries, bringing it to a total of several countries worldwide. Additionally, users who are already subscribed to the Google One Premium 2TB service will automatically gain access to the features offered by AI Plus in the coming days.

For those looking for an affordable entry point into Google's AI ecosystem, the $8-per-month price tag of AI Plus makes it an attractive option - especially given its value compared to other AI plans available on the market.

omg i'm so hyped about this new ai plan 🤩!! $8 a month is like literally insane pricing for all those sick features... i need that nano banana pro tool to make my images pop 💥 and 200gb of storage is more than enough for me, been using it for youtube vids and editing pics is a breeze 📸 i'm def subscribing to ai plus ASAP!!

omg did u know that if u had a google pixel from 2016 lol the camera was like whoa now they're offering ai tools for $8/month 🤯📸, that's like half the price of what i used to pay for my old laptop's ram lol. and can we talk about how cool it is that nano banana pro can generate images indistinguishable from a smartphone camera 🤔🎨 i remember watching those deep learning videos on youtube in 2020 & now this tech is like, waaay more affordable 🤑

omg i'm so hyped about this!!! 🤩 8 bucks a month is like, crazy affordable for all that amazing tech 🤯 think about all the creative projects you can work on with that Gemini app and Flow filmmaking tool... it's like, a dream come true for artists and entrepreneurs 🎨💡 and i love how google is making AI more accessible to everyone, not just the pros 🙌 34 new countries getting access to this too? that's wild 🌍 we're living in some amazing times 🤩

I'm kinda worried about people signing up for this AI thingy... think about all that data they'll be sharing 🤖. And what's with the $8/month? Sounds like a trap to me! I mean, you get 200GB of storage, but is it really worth sacrificing some privacy and freedom for a fancy AI tool? Not to mention, what happens when these tools become obsolete? You're stuck paying more just to keep up 😒.

idk about this whole AI thing tho... like how is google gonna make money from just charging 8 bucks a month? theyre basically giving away their most advanced tools for pennies on the dollar! and what's the catch? are they just gonna be selling our personal data to advertisers or something? btw, 34 new countries getting access to this? thats some pretty sweet PR move by google
