Hazel Park sees another cannabis business closure as market falters - Detroit Metro Times

man this michigan cannabis industry is like totally tanking 🤯 another dispensary closing up shop and it's not just trucenta LLC either terrascend corp is pulling out all 20 dispensaries in the state lol what's gonna happen to all those employees? 😬 and i'm thinking about that legislation too, one dispensary for every 10k residents seems kinda harsh if you ask me. like, how are small towns supposed to handle that? 🤔 the industry was supposed to bring some economic growth but now it's just a mess 💸🌿

This news is really concerning 🤕. I mean, I get it, regulations can be tough, but 24% wholesale tax on marijuana? That's crazy! 💸 And these massive fines? It's like, come on, guys! You're not even giving businesses a chance to thrive.

I'm all for responsible operations and transparency, just like Zoran said 🙏. But at the same time, I think we need to relook at those laws and make them more industry-friendly. The oversupply and plummeting prices are already causing problems, and now it's killing businesses left and right.

It's not all doom and gloom, though 💡. We can use this as an opportunity to rethink our approach to cannabis regulation 🤝. We need to find a balance between keeping people safe and giving businesses the freedom to succeed.
