. I mean, 16 years in football? That's a long time to be taking hits on the head. And he was relatively injury-free too... it just doesn't add up
. But at the same time, you can see how it would happen now that we know more about CTE and all that.
I'm not saying it's definitely his fault or anything, but I do think footballers need to be more careful with their heads on the pitch. All these changes to the rules and technology are a good start, but what about before? What about the players who came before him?
And can we talk about how they're studying this stuff now? Like, what happened to all those old brains from the '70s and '80s? How do we even know if our ancestors were susceptible to this too?
