Ugh I'm so over how everything has to be on demand now 
its like we're all just expecting to be able to watch a show at exactly 7pm sharp and still be able to pause it if life gets in the way... meanwhile TiVo was trying to give us control over our TV experience back in the day. I think what went wrong for them is that they were ahead of their time, you know? They introduced this amazing feature that changed the game, but instead of building on that momentum, they got caught up with keeping up with everyone else and lost sight of what made them special

. they created this game-changing feature, but instead of owning it, they let everyone else copy and adapt it. now it's like anyone can pause their favorite show 
. you'd think tiVo would've been all proud of being the pioneer, but instead they kinda got lost in the process 
... anyway, back to tivo - yeah it's wild how their own success kinda worked against them
