ICE agents have killed – again. The Trump administration blames the victim | Moira Donegan

Trump Administration Blames Victim in Minneapolis ICE Raid Gone Wrong

The Trump administration has once again demonstrated its utter disregard for human life, as the brutal killing of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by ICE agents in Minneapolis has been met with a disturbing attempt to rewrite history.

According to video footage captured by multiple witnesses, including local protesters, Good was driving her SUV when an ICE agent approached her window and yelled "Get out of the car. Get out of the fucking car." The woman attempted to drive away, but an officer fired three shots at her vehicle as she sped off. In a shocking display of brutality, the SUV crashed into another parked car, leaving Good dead on the scene.

In a bizarre twist, homeland security secretary Kristi Noem has claimed that the incident was an "act of domestic terrorism" perpetrated by Good against the ICE agents, despite clear evidence to the contrary. Noem's claim is a classic example of the Trump administration's tendency to blame victims and demonize those who dare to resist their racist and authoritarian policies.

The truth is that Good was simply a law-abiding citizen trying to protect herself and others from the aggressive actions of ICE agents. Her actions, along with those of dozens of other protesters who surrounded the agents in a tight circle, were acts of resistance against a system that seeks to oppress and harm vulnerable communities.

Good's death serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by Trump's mass deportation operation, which targets peaceful working people on the basis of their race. Her killing is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a larger pattern of violence and intimidation used by ICE agents against immigrants and their families.

The outrage sparked by Good's death will only continue to grow as more information comes to light about her life, her activism, and her sacrifice. For now, it is clear that she was a symbol of the resistance, fighting for justice and dignity in a system that seeks to erase her identity and her humanity.

As we mourn the loss of Renee Good, we must also recognize the bravery and selflessness of those who stood with her against the agents of oppression. Their actions are a testament to the power of ordinary people coming together to demand justice and challenge the status quo.

In the face of this heinous act of violence, it is essential that we continue to speak out against the Trump administration's racist and authoritarian policies. We must demand accountability for Good's murder and an end to the mass deportation operation that has claimed countless lives and torn families apart.

The resistance will not be silenced, and the Trump administration will not be able to rewrite history to suit its agenda. Renee Good's legacy will live on through the countless people who have been inspired by her courage and determination to fight for a more just and equitable society.

OMG, this is so sad 🤕💔! The fact that they're trying to blame the victim is just heartbreaking 😭. It's like, no one gets away with killing someone in cold blood and then pretending it was their fault, right? 😡 ICE agents are supposed to be protecting people, not taking lives unnecessarily 💀. Renee Nicole Good was a hero for standing up against that kind of systemic oppression 🙌 #JusticeForReneeGood #EndICE #HumanRightsMatter

Can we see the video footage that shows the ICE agent yelling "Get out of the car" first? This claim by Noem sounds super fishy 🤔. And what's with all these claims that Renee was driving recklessly? That doesn't add up. We need to know more about this incident before we can believe the government's version. Sources, anyone? 📰

🤦‍♀️ can't believe this 😒 ICE agents think they're above the law? Like, literally, an agent yells at Renee Good to get out of her car and then shoots her 🚗💀 is that how it works now? No wonder the Trump admin thinks we're all a bunch of terrorists... meanwhile, Renee was just trying to protect herself from people who were basically going to deport someone because they said something wrong. And Kristi Noem's response is straight out of a bad sitcom 📺 "It was an act of domestic terrorism"... nope, it was more like an act of ICE-cessive brutality 😂 anyway, RIP Renee Good, your memory will live on in the hearts of all those who care about justice and humanity ❤️

omg this is so messed up!!!! 🤯 renée nicole good was just trying to protect herself and others from trump's immigration policies and now she's dead because of it!!! 😢 the fact that they're trying to blame her for being a victim is just sickening... kristi noem needs to be held accountable for this one! 👮‍♀️ICE agents are literally killing people left and right and nobody seems to care 🤷‍♀️ except for renée, she's a hero in my book 💕 we need to keep fighting for justice and dignity for all immigrant communities 💪

ugh this is so sickening 🤯 they're trying to spin this into something else, like she was the one attacking them? come on americans we can't believe that 💔 Renee's death was caused by the brutal actions of ICE agents who were already in a volatile situation with protesters. it's disgusting how they're trying to shift the blame to her 🙄 we need to keep calling out these racist policies and demanding justice for Renee and all the other victims of the trump administration's cruelty 💪

OMG this is so messed up 🤯 the way they're trying to spin this is wild, an "act of domestic terrorism" against ICE agents? Are they serious? 😂 That's like saying a white person gets attacked by BLM protesters and it's their fault because they were "too confrontational". No one falls for that 💁‍♀️. Renee Good was just trying to protect herself and others from being harassed by the authorities, she wasn't some crazy domestic terrorist 🚫. And what about all these other protesters who surrounded the agents? Were they also terrorists too? 🤔 This is just another example of the Trump admin trying to scapegoat innocent people and blame them for their own policies going awry 🙄. We need to keep calling out this BS and demanding accountability for Renee's murder 💔

the trump admin is at it again 🤯😡 they're trying to spin this whole thing into some kinda domestic terrorism act by the victim, can you even? 🙄 meanwhile, we all know that Renee Nicole Good was just a law-abiding citizen trying to protect herself and others from ICE agents who were being super aggressive 🚗💥 it's not like she was the one who started anything 👊 my heart goes out to her family and loved ones, and to all the other victims of trump's deportation operation 💔 we need to keep speaking out against this kind of racism and oppression, and making sure that those responsible are held accountable 📣

😔 this is so sad Renee was an innocent person trying to protect herself, why does she have to be the one who loses her life in such a brutal way? I remember when i was younger, protests used to be peaceful gatherings of people who wanted change, not violent acts by innocent civilians... ICE agents need to take responsibility for their actions and provide better training to avoid these types of incidents 🤦‍♀️💔

man 😱 this is so messed up the trump admin is trying to cover their tracks again like what even is going on with kristi noem saying good was an act of domestic terrorism lol that's straight out of a bad thriller movie 🤣 anyway i feel so bad for Renee's family and loved ones her activism and fighting for justice were literally the last thing they wanted but she stood strong and now we're left with this senseless tragedy 💔

i'm also super frustrated that this is happening again in the US where people are actually being killed by law enforcement or ICE agents like what happened to javier echeverria back in 2019 🤯 it's getting too many lives lost because of these policies and we need to see some real change ASAP 🔥

Ugh my heart goes out to Renee's family 🤕💔 I'm so sick of the Trump admin trying to spin this as if it was the victim who was crazy 😡 their attempt to blame Renee is just disgusting. It's not about domestic terrorism, it's about ICE agents being completely out of control and brutal 💥 we need to hold them accountable for their actions! 🚔 And can we please talk about how reckless this deportation operation is? 🙄 Renee didn't deserve to die over her immigration status 😢

man this is so messed up 🤯...ICE agents trying to justify killing someone by saying they were the one who was "terrorizing" them? that's like me claiming I'm the victim when I accidentally superglue my shoes to the floor during a protest 💥...it just doesn't add up. Renee Good was just a law-abiding citizen trying to protect herself, not some radical extremist looking for a fight 🚫. it's infuriating that the Trump admin is trying to rewrite history and demonize the people who were standing up against them. this is what happens when you have a government that doesn't care about its own citizens, only about enforcing policies that hurt vulnerable communities 💔

I'm still thinking about that new restaurant I tried last weekend, you know the one with the crazy good burgers 🍔😋? I was like "oh man, these patties are so juicy!" Anyway, have you ever noticed how some of those fancy burger places use this super high-tech system to make their patties? Like, it's all automated and stuff. I don't know about you, but I kinda miss the good old days when burgers were made with love, not machines ❤️. And oh yeah, what's up with Minneapolis? I heard they have a sweet new coffee shop downtown 🛍️

🚔💥😂 The "domestic terrorism" card is always a winner in Trump's playbook 🤣 [GIF of Trump playing poker with a terrorist card]

ICE agents are literally like the bullies from high school, except instead of getting punched, they get to claim it was the victim who started the fight 🤦‍♂️ [GIF of a kid getting bullied and then punching back]

Trump's mass deportation operation is just like that one aunt at the family reunion – unwanted, annoying, and totally not welcome 🚫 [GIF of an aunt being kicked out of the party]

I'm so sad about what happened to Renee 😔. But I think it's amazing that she stood up against ICE agents in such a brave way 💪. It's not right that the Trump admin is trying to blame her for her own death though 🙄. That just shows how messed up their priorities are. We need to keep speaking out against policies that harm innocent people and demand justice for Renee and all those affected by ICE's actions ❤️.

can't believe what happened in Minneapolis 🤯😱 the trump admin is always trying to shift blame onto the victim which is so wrong it's like they want us to think renee was the one attacking ICE agents instead of them being the aggressors 👮‍♂️🚗 what kind of system allows this to happen and still tries to downplay it 🤦‍♀️ICE agents are supposed to be law enforcement not ruthless enforcers of trump's deportation policy 💔

OMG, this is so sick 🤯👎! The Trump administration is literally trying to cover up their own incompetence by blaming the victim 😩. Renee Good was just trying to protect herself and others from those ruthless ICE agents, and now they're claiming she's the one who's "terrorizing" them? Give me a break 💁‍♀️! This is exactly what I've been saying about this administration - they have no qualms about putting lives at risk for their own racist agenda. It's disgusting 🚽. The fact that Kristi Noem is spewing this nonsense is just proof of how out of touch the Trump team is with reality. We need to keep fighting against these injustices and making sure that Renee Good's legacy isn't forgotten 💪.

I'm so saddened by this whole thing 🤕. It sounds like those ICE agents were totally out of control and brutal. I mean, coming up to someone's car and shooting them is not the way to do things...like, at all. And now they're trying to blame the victim? That's just crazy talk 😡. I don't think anyone should be trying to make Renee Good into some kind of bad guy. She was just a regular person who was standing up for what she believed in and got hurt because of it.

I'm really mad about this, though...the way that ICE is treating people like they're not even human beings anymore 🚫. It's like they're just trying to break everyone's spirits and make them feel powerless. Well, I've got news for them: we won't be silenced or scared into being afraid of our government. We'll keep speaking out and fighting for justice and equality, no matter what.

It's so important that we remember Renee Good and all the other people who have been hurt by this kind of system...we can't let their deaths be forgotten 💔. We need to keep pushing forward and demanding change, even if it feels scary or hard sometimes.

come on trump's handling of this situation is straight outta playbook... blaming victim, demonizing protesters, it's like they're trying to rewrite history again 🤥. can't believe kristi noem is spewing this nonsense about "domestic terrorism" - what a load of bull. Renee Nicole Good was just trying to protect herself and others from the tyranny of ICE agents. her sacrifice will not be in vain, though. we need to keep pushing back against these racist policies and demanding justice for victims like renée good 💪
