I'm literally shook by this article . The 140 lashes they got is insane ! I mean, I know Indonesia has Sharia law in some parts, but caning is just so brutal . And the fact that the woman had to be taken to an ambulance after the punishment is wild . It's like, what are we even doing here? We're all human beings, right? Can't we just get along and respect each other's differences? I'm all for understanding different cultures, but this level of punishment is just crazy . And it's not just the couple who were punished, think about all the other people who are living in fear because of these laws . We need to start talking about this more and maybe find a way to make some changes .

I'm so done with Indonesia's Sharia law... it's like they're living in the dark ages or something! I mean, caning 140 times? That's just barbaric! What's next, whipping people for wearing makeup? The fact that there's no national law against gay relations and they can't even intervene because of autonomy is super worrying. It shows how discriminatory they are towards the LGBTQ+ community. And to think it's all in the name of "protection" of their culture... please, protect human rights instead!

I don't think 140 lashes is that extreme... I mean, they broke the rules and now they gotta face the consequences . Sharia law has its roots in history and tradition, it's not like they're making up laws out of thin air. The couple knew what they were getting into when they moved to a conservative province in Indonesia. And caning isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be... I've seen some pretty harsh punishments in other places . It's not like the guy was forced to drink a gallon of water or anything . The woman was shaken up, yeah, but that's gonna happen when you get whipped . Maybe people should just accept that there are different laws and customs out there and try not to be so judgmental .
