Ja Morant and NBA London stars inspired by 'energetic' European fans as expansion talks continue

Ja Morant and other NBA stars found inspiration in the 'energetic' European fans as expansion talks continue, following a packed schedule of games across London.

NBA guard Ja Morant believes any player would enjoy playing in Europe's atmosphere. The Memphis Grizzlies star was part of a doubleheader at the O2 Arena, first taking on the Orlando Magic and then sitting courtside for Berlin's NBA game.

Morant described European fans as 'energetic', saying "It was great. Definitely a great experience. They were very energetic." He added that once both teams got going, the crowd fed off their energy. Morant also praised the experience of playing in London, stating it was a big thing for basketball and one he'd love to see more of.

The NBA is looking at ways to expand its presence in Europe with new talks underway. Commissioner Adam Silver believes European football fans could help grow interest in the sport. However, Orlando Magic star Moe Wagner wants to highlight that growth should be in its own right, not compared to soccer. Wagner expressed his gratitude for being part of a developing game.

The league's focus on globalisation has already led to an increase in talented international players. Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo have shared five out of the last seven NBA Most Valuable Player awards between them, while Luka Doncic and Victor Wembanyama are at the forefront of the current year's MVP race.

NBA stars also paid tribute to Martin Luther King on MLK Day, a holiday that remembers one of the pioneers of the American Civil Rights Movement. Desmond Bane stated he thinks Dr. King's message is still pushed forward today, despite much work remaining to be done.

just saw morant talk about europe fans being soooo energetic 🀩 and I gotta agree, it's not every day you see a crowd that hyped for hoops! πŸ€ but did you know the NBA league average attendance in the eu is around 8k per game? πŸ‘‰ compare that to the US where the avg is over 17k... seems like europe still has some catching up to do 😐 btw, have you seen these stats on player movement from eu to us? πŸ“Š it's crazy! 🀯

Meme dropper approves of Ja Morant's vibes 😎! Who wouldn't want to play ball in front of energetic crowds? [GIF of a crowd going wild cheering for their team]

International basketball talent is on the rise! Let's keep it global and keep pushing the game forward 🀩!

I don't know... I mean, I think European fans are super energetic and all that 🀩, but at the same time, I'm not so sure if they're the right inspiration for NBA expansion? Like, can we really compare the two sports or something? 😐 I mean, the NBA is about basketball, you know? But then again, it's also about growing the game globally and being more inclusive... πŸ€” I guess what I'm saying is, it's a bit of both? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And can we talk about how awesome it was for Ja Morant to play in London though? That's gotta be an experience of a lifetime! πŸ™Œ But are we really looking at this as a way to grow the game, or just to cash in on European fans? πŸ€‘ I mean, Moe Wagner made some great points about not comparing growth to soccer or anything... πŸ’―

I don't know, man. I'm all over the place on this one πŸ˜‚.

omg i'm so hyped about this new move by the nba πŸ€©πŸ€!! playing in europe sounds like a whole different level of energy πŸŒͺ️ they're literally talking about bringing that soccer fanbase over πŸ‘ it's gonna be lit πŸ’₯ and can you even imagine having martin luther king day as an nba holiday? πŸ™ what a way to celebrate the game and its impact on society πŸŽ‰

I think it's awesome that European fans are bringing so much energy to NBA games in London 🀩! It really makes the game more exciting and I can see why Ja Morant would want to play there again. The idea of expansion talks is a great way to grow the league's presence globally, but let's not forget that basketball has its own unique following here... like Moe Wagner said, we should celebrate our growth without comparing it to soccer ⚽️. I'm loving how talented international players are taking over the league, like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo - they're killing it on court πŸ€!

man I'm lovin' this trend 🀩! The NBA is finally gettin' its act together with these European games! I mean, can you imagine playin' in front of all those energetic fans? it's like a whole different level of excitement πŸ˜†. I gotta say, I was hyped seein' Ja Morant and the others rockin' out at the O2 Arena 🎸. And can we talk about how awesome it is to have players like Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo bringin' that international flair to the league? it's like the game is gettin' a global vibe 🌍. I'm all for expandin' the NBA's presence in Europe, especially with them fans bein' so passionate about basketball. And hey, even Moe Wagner is gettin' on board with the hype, sayin' growth should happen in its own right – ain't nobody mad at that 😎.

OMG u guys I'm so hyped about this!!! 🀩 The energy of those European fans tho πŸŽ‰ they're literally the most energetic I've ever seen! I mean, Ja Morant and Moe Wagner are both saying it's an amazing experience and I'm like YAAAS can we get more games like that?! πŸ“ΊπŸ€ And I love how Adam Silver is thinking about expanding the league in Europe, it's like a whole new level of basketball fans waiting to be discovered! πŸ’‘ But for real, let's not forget about Martin Luther King and his message of equality, Desmond Bane said it all - we've got work to do but we're making progress! πŸ™πŸ’ͺ

I think its dope that European fans are getting hyped about the NBA! Morant's right, any player would love playing in a crowd like that πŸ˜†. I'm all for more games in Europe too, it'd be sick to see the league grow organically without comparing itself to soccer ⚽️. And can we talk about how talented these international players are? Jokic and Giannis have been killing it on the court, and Luka's like a one-man show πŸ”₯. But what's up with all the attention around Martin Luther King's message? I think its cool that NBA stars are still feeling that vibe πŸ’―. It's not about MLK Day being some historical holiday, its about the impact his work had on America's social justice movement πŸ•ŠοΈ.

OMG, can't even imagine how "energetic" European fans must be πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. I mean, seriously though, it's nice that the NBA is trying to expand its presence in Europe, but we all know how that's gonna play out πŸ™„... just kidding, sorta. Anyway, love how Ja Morant and the gang are soaking up all that European vibes - guess they're really looking for a change of pace from Memphis traffic πŸ˜‚. On a more serious note, it's awesome to see talented international players like Jokic, Giannis, and Luka killing it in the NBA. The league is definitely growing its global roots, which is def cool πŸ‘.

🀝 I think it's awesome that European fans are bringing that extra energy to NBA games! It's no surprise Ja Morant loved playing in London - the atmosphere was electric! πŸŒƒ I'm excited to see the NBA explore more European games, it could really boost interest in basketball. πŸ’ͺ On a side note, it's great to see talented international players like Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo making waves in the league. And kudos to Desmond Bane for speaking up about Martin Luther King's message - his legacy is still so relevant today πŸ™πŸ‘

omg, can u believe how hyped Morant and the other guys are about playing in Europe 🀩πŸ”₯? those fans are literally electric, it was like they were feeding off their energy in the arena πŸ’₯! i'm low-key hoping the NBA expands more, idk if soccer fans could really help with that tho 😐... anyway, its dope to see these players making it happen on a bigger scale 🌟... and btw, Martin Luther King's message is still so relevant today β€οΈπŸ‘

I'm loving how the NBA is getting more into Europe! I mean, those fans are so energetic and passionate 🀩πŸ’₯, it's infectious! My kids would totally love playing in front of that many people - they'd get such a rush from it too! It's great to hear that the league is looking at ways to expand its presence here. Maybe one day we'll have more games and events in London? That would be awesome for our little ones who are into sports πŸ€πŸ‘§β€πŸŽ“, wouldn't it?!

I'm loving how enthusiastic the European fans are! 🀩 It's like they're already part of the NBA fam, you know? Ja Morant and those other stars totally vibe with their energy, it was a match made in heaven. Can't say I blame them for wanting to bring more games over here, London is always lit when it comes to basketball. And yeah, it's dope that some of these European players are killing it on the court, like Nikola Jokic and Giannis - they're making us proud! πŸ’ͺ

I'm loving how the NBA is taking steps to expand its presence in Europe 🌟! I mean, who wouldn't want to play in front of such energetic and passionate fans? πŸ˜† The way Morant described the experience, it's clear that the atmosphere was electric. And can you blame him for wanting more games in London - it's a huge deal for basketball in the UK!

I'm also stoked to see the NBA focusing on globalization 🌎. We've got some amazing international talent killing it on the court right now, and I think it's only going to bring more growth to the game. Plus, having players like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo making a name for themselves is proof that basketball can reach anyone, anywhere.

It's also great to see the NBA taking time to recognize Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy πŸ™. His message of equality and unity is more important now than ever, and it's heartening to see players like Desmond Bane keeping his spirit alive πŸ’ͺ.

I think it's dope how Ja Morant and other NBA stars are feeling the energy from European fans! 🀩 They're totally vibin' with the crowd and feeding off their enthusiasm. I can imagine playing in London would be a dream come true, especially for basketball fans like Morant. ✈️ The whole scene reminds me of this diagram I drew last week:

And can we talk about the future of the NBA in Europe? πŸ€” I think it's a great idea to explore new markets and grow interest in the sport. Maybe having football fans support basketball will help attract more attention? Who knows, maybe one day we'll see more European players dominating the league! 😎

man I was at that doubleheader at the O2 Arena and it was LIT πŸŽ‰πŸ€ Ja Morant was hyped as always but I loved how the crowd just fed off his energy and vice versa! European fans are so different from what we're used to in the States, they're so into the game it's infectious πŸ˜‚. And you know what's crazy, I've been following these international players for years and now they're basically running the league 🀯 Nikola Jokic is a beast on the court! But seriously though, NBA expansion is a great idea and who knows maybe one day we'll see more games in Europe 🌍.

omg i think the energy in europe is def what's drawin players like ja morant over here its not just about the money lol πŸ‘πŸ’Έ i mean sure, soccer fans can be crazy but theres somethin special about basketball thats all about skill and teamwork u feel? πŸ€πŸ‘Š

omg i feel like europe would be an amazing addition to our school's sports calendar!!! can you imagine having a packed arena at our school tournament?? πŸ†πŸŽ‰ the energy of european fans must've been insane, i love how ja morant said it was a great experience and the crowd fed off their energy πŸ’– what i'm really hoping is that we get to see more nba games in europe as it would be so cool for us to watch live πŸš€
