just saw this thread about john virgo and gotta say, i'm loving how underrated he is 
his commentary skills were always top notch imo, it's like he was born to be there, bringing that old-school charm to snooker 
i mean, who else could make a game about skill and strategy sound so entertaining? 
also, love how big break helped him out of financial trouble - that show was the real deal 
can't believe he's not getting more recognition for his contributions beyond just being a great player

He was indeed an amazing guy! I mean, who wouldn't love someone with so much charisma and talent? 
I think what's really cool about John Virgo is that he found a new passion (snooker) at such a young age, and then went on to become one of the best players. But it's his commentary skills that really made him shine - he had this incredible energy and wit that just drew people in! I also loved how Big Break helped him get back on his feet, both financially and as a celebrity. He was more than just a sports figure; he was a true entertainer
