The die has been cast . It seems like democracy is winning the game ... for now . With this ruling, it's clear that the Constitution is protecting the rights of all Americans, including military personnel . We need to keep pushing forward and ensure that our voting system remains fair and accessible to everyone . After all, "the right to vote is the most fundamental of all civil liberties" as Justice Thurgood Marshall once said
I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole citizenship thing... it seems like a lot of people are more concerned about voting rights than actually being citizens . I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great that we're protecting the process and all, but come on, can't we just focus on getting everyone registered to vote instead of making it harder for some people?
And have you heard about all these lawsuits Trump's administration has been dealing with? It's crazy! I guess sometimes these politicians need to learn that you can't just make rules willy-nilly and expect everyone to go along with it .
I'm glad some of these judges are stepping in, though. They're like the grown-ups we need around here . And hey, at least it's not like it was going to solve anything anyway β voting by noncitizens is super rare! Maybe Trump should just focus on more important stuff... like getting that wall built or something .
Ugh I'm so glad this happened ! The whole idea of requiring proof of citizenship just seems like a way to suppress voter turnout and it makes me so angry . I mean, who needs that kind of stress in our lives? And the fact that we have to go through all that hassle just to register to vote is just ridiculous. I'm just glad that this judge saw sense and blocked those provisions . It's amazing how much money and resources are wasted on trying to combat voter fraud when there's really no problem . Let's focus on making it easier for people to exercise their right to vote, not harder .
omg this is like super good news for voting rights ! i mean, think about it - some ppl were getting all worked up over the idea that non-citizens could just vote or something lol. but really, the stats show it's not even a thing (like, <1% of voters are non-citizens). so this judge is like, totally in control here and making sure everyone gets a say . i'm all for protecting voting rights and keeping the process fair - no proof of citizenship needed! it's good to see the courts stepping in and keeping the executive order from getting too out of hand .
