Letters: Gov. Newsom has failed California’s schools

"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." 🤦‍♂️ California's schools are facing a crisis that seems to be echoing throughout the state's history - time and again, we're seeing the consequences of poor governance. It's time for voters to wake up and demand change! 💡

OMG you guys I am literally so done with California's schools crisis its like they're failing our kids left and right 5.8 million students struggling to read and math skills are NO JOKE I know some people will say it's because of poverty or lack of resources but come on we can do better as a state we need to stop making excuses and start taking action Newsom needs to step up his game and implement some real changes not just more empty promises

I just saw this news about California's schools in crisis 🤯📚. I think we need to redraw the map of governance, literally! 🗺️ Let me sketch out some ideas...

```
+---------------+
| Merit-based |
| incentives |
+---------------+
|
| Excellence over
| mediocrity
v
+---------------+
| Prioritize |
| the bottom line|
+---------------+
|
| Lower living
| standards, bad
| grades, unhappy
| kids...
```

It's like, what happened to California? How did it come to this? 🤔 I think we need to shake things up and find a new way of doing education. Maybe focus on individual growth, not just averages? 💡

And oh yeah, the USAID cuts are crazy! 🤑 Like, how can our leaders do that to American citizens? We need to talk about this more and demand change! 🗣️

I'm worried about Cali's schools 😞. I mean, 50% of kids are reading below grade level? That's crazy! 🤯 I don't think it's just the governor or his policies though, I think there's more to it than that. Maybe we need some new ideas and not just the same old stuff. I've been saying this for ages, if you want better schools, you gotta invest in 'em 💸. Not just throw money at the problem but actually make changes 🔄. And what about those farmers? USAID cuts are really hurting them 🌾. We need to get our priorities straight and take care of each other 🤝.

I'm really concerned about the state of California's schools 🤕. I mean, 50% of kids are reading below grade level is just heartbreaking. It makes you wonder what went wrong with the education system. Is it the lack of merit-based incentives? Not sure...but it can't be that complicated to implement policies that encourage excellence.

I'm also a bit frustrated that voters haven't spoken up yet 🤔. I get that politicians are human and make mistakes, but this is about public health and reproductive rights too 🤷‍♀️. Vaccination efforts have been neglected and USAID cuts have affected farmers and the entire country.

It's sad to see people not getting involved in positive initiatives like the Walk for Peace event 🕊️. We need more stories like that, you know? Ones that bring people together instead of driving them apart 💖.
