like seriously what's going on with the Mets right now? They need an ace like yesterday but they're gonna have to break out their top prospects to get it done?! I'm talking Jett Williams, Brandon Sproat, and Boston Baro... those kids are gonna be stars or something! I mean I get it Stearns knows Peralta from 2023 and all that jazz 
but like, is it worth the risk? Peralta's a rental so he'll leave after this season, what's the point of throwing in all that talent?!

... it's a whole different level when you're talking about actual players. I do think Stearns knows what he's doing though, the connection between him and Peralta is real
