Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics kicks off with multi-site, star-studded ceremony

๐Ÿค” I'm both impressed and confused at the same time about this opening ceremony ๐ŸŽ‰. On one hand, it was lit ๐Ÿ’ƒ with all that Italian culture on display ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น, music, fashion - everything! The performances by Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, and Andrea Bocelli's sister Gabriella were ๐Ÿ”ฅ! And the tributes to those Italian legends, like da Vinci and Fellini, were so cool ๐ŸŽจ.

But, what's up with all the countries not showing up at the main hub in Milan? ๐Ÿ˜ Was it a mix-up or something? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ I mean, you'd think that would be a big deal, especially for countries like China, Japan, and Germany, which are usually super competitive at the Olympics. But I guess the parade of nations at the mountain locales was an okay alternative ๐Ÿ”๏ธ.

Fashion was definitely on point though ๐Ÿ‘—! Giorgio Armani and Federico Fellini got honored during the ceremony, and I loved how they showcased all that Italian style ๐Ÿ’ƒ.

OMG this opening ceremony was SO extra ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ I mean, tribute to da Vinci and Dante was cool but Mariah Carey's performance of "Volare" was like totally forced ๐Ÿคฃ and what's with the zero national team reps at San Siro stadium?! ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Parade of nations was held instead in Cortina which is just weird ๐Ÿ”๏ธ. Fashion was on point tho, love Giorgio Armani and Federico Fellini's tribute ๐Ÿ‘—๐ŸŽฅ. Andrea Bocelli's performance was smooth but I still would've loved to see some real Italian talent ๐Ÿ™Œ. Overall it was a pretty meh opening ceremony for me ๐Ÿ˜
