I'm both impressed and confused at the same time about this opening ceremony 
. On one hand, it was lit 
with all that Italian culture on display 
, music, fashion - everything! The performances by Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, and Andrea Bocelli's sister Gabriella were 
! And the tributes to those Italian legends, like da Vinci and Fellini, were so cool 
.But, what's up with all the countries not showing up at the main hub in Milan?
Was it a mix-up or something? 
I mean, you'd think that would be a big deal, especially for countries like China, Japan, and Germany, which are usually super competitive at the Olympics. But I guess the parade of nations at the mountain locales was an okay alternative 
.Fashion was definitely on point though
! Giorgio Armani and Federico Fellini got honored during the ceremony, and I loved how they showcased all that Italian style .
and what's with the zero national team reps at San Siro stadium?! 
Parade of nations was held instead in Cortina which is just weird 
. Andrea Bocelli's performance was smooth but I still would've loved to see some real Italian talent 
. Overall it was a pretty meh opening ceremony for me
