I'm both impressed and confused at the same time about this opening ceremony

. On one hand, it was lit

with all that Italian culture on display

, music, fashion - everything! The performances by Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, and Andrea Bocelli's sister Gabriella were

! And the tributes to those Italian legends, like da Vinci and Fellini, were so cool

.
But, what's up with all the countries not showing up at the main hub in Milan?

Was it a mix-up or something?

I mean, you'd think that would be a big deal, especially for countries like China, Japan, and Germany, which are usually super competitive at the Olympics. But I guess the parade of nations at the mountain locales was an okay alternative

.
Fashion was definitely on point though

! Giorgio Armani and Federico Fellini got honored during the ceremony, and I loved how they showcased all that Italian style

.
