Milpitas high school students can enroll in career tech classes

Milpitas High School Students Flock to SVCTE's Career Tech Classes for 2026-27 School Year.

Registration opened on Tuesday, January 20th, for the Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center's career tech classes for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This marks a new term of offerings that promises to equip high school students in grades 10-12 with industry-leading skills and knowledge.

At SVCTE, nearly 1,500 students from over 45 schools in Santa Clara County enroll each year. These students get to experience the best of career technical education by earning college credits, scoring industry certifications, completing real-world projects, and gaining hands-on experience through internships and apprenticeships. The ultimate goal is to prepare them for higher education or successful careers after graduation.

For this new term, two exciting courses have been introduced: AI Engineering and Metals Technology Pre-Apprenticeship. In the AI Engineering course, students will design intelligent systems using Python coding and machine learning techniques to solve real-world challenges. On the other hand, the Metals Technology course offers access to a Field Ironworkers Pre-Apprenticeship program approved by the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for Milpitas high school students who are interested in STEM fields or career advancement. The courses and programs offered at SVCTE will provide them with relevant skills, knowledge, and industry connections to thrive in their future endeavors.

Ugh, I'm not surprised they're flooding those Career Tech classes - it's probably just a bunch of parents trying to give their kids an edge over the competition so they can get into a decent college or job ๐Ÿค”. And what's with these new courses? AI Engineering and Metals Technology? Sounds like a recipe for overpriced tech degrees and apprenticeships that'll leave 'em stuck in dead-end jobs ๐Ÿ˜’. I mean, isn't it just another way to prepare them for the robot uprising or something?

I'm low-key salty that Milpitas High School isn't offering these classes yet ๐Ÿค” I mean, 1,500 students from other schools are getting the perks? What's going on with the local system?! ๐Ÿ˜’ SVCTE is definitely a step up, but shouldn't we have access to similar resources in our own backyard? ๐Ÿ’ธ

omg i had my little brother take these classes last yr ๐Ÿคฃ he went from being super shy in math to becoming like a coding pro ๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ’ป now he's gonna start his own app dev company with his friends ๐Ÿ’ธ can't wait for milpitas high school students to get their hands on those ai engineering and metals tech courses too! the more people who learn these skills, the better ๐Ÿค

I'm so glad they're offering AI Engineering now ๐Ÿ˜Š! I remember back in my day, we didn't even have a clue about what that meant - "artificial intelligence" just sounded like something out of Star Wars ๐Ÿš€. But these kids are lucky to get in on the ground floor, learning how to code and build intelligent systems with Python... it's like they're speaking the future language! ๐Ÿ’ป

๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ’ป just opened registration for 2026-27 school year at SVCTE ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ธ so many awesome classes coming like AI Engineering ๐Ÿค– and Metals Technology ๐Ÿ”ง pre-apprenticeship programs too ๐Ÿ‘ great way to get ahead in STEM fields ๐Ÿ’ช and future careers ๐Ÿ” Milpitas high school students should totally check it out ๐ŸŽ‰ will be a game changer for those interested in tech and career advancement ๐Ÿ’ผ

๐Ÿคฉ I'm loving that Milpitis High School students are jumping on the SVCTE bandwagon for the 2026-27 school year! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ป Career tech classes are such a great way to get ahead and learn skills that'll actually be useful in the real world. AI Engineering is super cool, I mean who wouldn't want to design intelligent systems with Python coding? ๐Ÿ˜Ž And Metals Technology Pre-Apprenticeship sounds like an amazing opportunity to get hands-on experience in a field that's in high demand. Let's hope more schools offer these kinds of programs so our kids are equipped for success! ๐Ÿ’ช
