NASA delays spacewalk due to a 'medical concern' with a crew member

NASA Postpones Spacewalk Amid Medical Concern for Crew Member

A spacewalk scheduled for NASA's International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday has been postponed due to a medical concern for an unnamed crew member. The decision was made by the agency in response to concerns about the crew member's health, which arose during the afternoon of Wednesday.

According to NASA, the crew member is currently stable and receiving proper care. However, the agency stressed that safely conducting its missions is its top priority, and it will continue to evaluate all options, including ending the Crew-11 mission early if necessary.

Crew-11 was originally set to remain on board the ISS until at least mid-February, but the postponement has potentially pushed back their departure. The next crewed mission, Crew-12, is currently scheduled for February 15 at the earliest.

The spacewalk, which was part of a routine maintenance procedure, had been planned for two crew members, including NASA astronaut Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke. However, with the postponement, it's unclear when this task will be completed.

NASA has assured that it will provide further updates on the situation within 24 hours. The agency's decision highlights the importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of its astronauts in space.

🀞 I don't think NASA made the right call, you know? I mean, a little risk never hurt anyone, right? 😬 I'm sure Zena Cardman is fine and all, but come on... delaying the mission because of a precautionary measure just gonna cost them precious time and resources. πŸ•°οΈ It's like they're letting the fear of what-ifs take over. What if the crew member is fine after all? πŸ€” They should've gone ahead with the spacewalk anyway, I think. It's not like it's gonna be their first close call... πŸš€

omg like whatttt!! i'm literally shook that they had to postpone the spacewalk πŸš€πŸ˜± cuz of a crew member's medical concern.. i mean we gotta prioritize those astronaut's health first, no question πŸ’―. zena cardman and mike fincke must be worried 🀞. i hope the crew member recovers fast tho πŸ™. this is soooo cool btw, nasa always pushing boundaries & making sure everything goes smoothly πŸ‘. 24 hrs or less for updates? that's like, super chill πŸ’†β€β™€οΈ

πŸ€” just hope everyone is okay over there... can't imagine how scary it must be for them up in space with no way to just pop out to the store if they need something πŸ›οΈ. seems like a big risk to me, but I guess safety always comes first πŸ’―. wonder what's going on behind closed doors at NASA... are they keeping it all under wraps? 🀐 at least they're being transparent about it, that's more than I can say for some stuff on earth 😊. crew-11 is my favorite mission btw, have been following their progress πŸ‘€

ugh no way!!! can't believe they're postponing the spacewalk 🚫😬 like what even is a medical concern for space? are they okay tho? hope everything turns out alright 🀞 also feels bad for zena & mike, they must be super frustrated 😩 gotta keep an eye on this update, 24hr wait is forever!!

πŸš€πŸ˜¬ gotta respect nasa makin sure their crew members r good to go before doin any crazy stuff like spacewalks πŸ€•πŸ’‰ esp since they postponed it cuz 1 crew member had a medical concern, that shows they r takin care of the people who r puttin themselves in harm's way in space πŸ’―πŸ‘

omg 🀯 cant believe nasa is postponing the spacewalk cuz of a crew member 😬 i mean we gotta prioritize their health 4sure πŸ’Š but it's like, delaying the whole mission now... πŸš€ what if they need them back on earth ASAP? πŸ€” idk wut nasa's gonna do πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ hopefully everything goes ok & they get back to schedule πŸ™

πŸš€ just wondering what's more important - getting a spacewalk done or keeping your crew safe πŸ€• NASA always puts safety first, right? 😊 can't blame 'em really. hope everything works out for the crew member πŸ‘ gotta feel bad for Zena and Mike tho, all that prep work gone to waste πŸ™„

OMG, like what's going on here 🀯? First, NASA postpones this spacewalk 'cause of a medical concern for one of their crew members, and I'm already thinking, "What's really going on?" Is it just a coincidence that they're doing this now? It seems suspicious. They say the crew member is stable, but what if it's not? What if this is just a ploy to keep them from leaving or to get more data before they go back? I mean, think about it - spacewalks are crucial for maintenance, and if they're not doing one now, what does that tell us? Maybe NASA is trying to hide something... πŸ€”
