Netflix won seven awards at the Golden Globes with Adolescence and KPop Demon Hunters

Netflix took center stage at Sunday's 2026 Golden Globes, raking in a total of seven awards that left many streaming platforms in its wake. Apple and HBO Max also had successful nights, each winning three awards.

For Netflix, the biggest winners were two of its hit shows, "Adolescence" and "KPop Demon Hunters." The former took home four awards, including Best Limited or Anthology Series, and won for Best Actor (Stephen Graham), Supporting Actor (Owen Cooper), and Supporting Actress (Erin Doherty) in a miniseries or television film. Not to be outdone, "KPop Demon Hunters" - which became Netflix's most-watched title - took home two awards of its own: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.

The latter won the award for Best Original Song, with singer-songwriter EJAE thanking those who have faced rejection saying, "I just want to say this award goes to people who have had doors closed on them... Never give up. It is never too late to shine like you were born to be."

Netflix also took home an award for Best Performance in Stand-up Comedy on Television for its special "Ricky Gervais: Mortality." This marked a major win for the streamer, which has been making waves at awards shows this year.

On the other hand, Apple TV took home two awards, including Best Television Series Musical or Comedy and Best Male Actor in a Television Series for Seth Rogen. HBO Max also had a successful night, taking home its three awards with one each from "The Pitt," "Hacks," and another performance by Jean Smart.

Hulu's only award went to Michelle Williams for her performance in the limited series "Dying For Sex." The show marked a first at the Golden Globes this year: the Best Podcast category. Amy Poehler took home the award for her podcast, which has featured interviews with big-name guests like Tina Fey and Quinta Brunson.

In summary, Netflix dominated this year's Golden Globes, taking home seven awards that solidified its position as a major player in the streaming industry.

🀯 I'm literally still reeling from how epic Netflix was at the Golden Globes! 7 awards is insane and those shows they won are so good!!! "Adolescence" is like, my favorite show right now 🀩 and Stephen Graham's win for Best Actor was long overdue. And can we talk about "KPop Demon Hunters" πŸŽ‰? I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a show about demon hunters in K-pop outfits?! πŸ˜‚ It's amazing how Netflix just keeps pushing the boundaries of what we consider entertainment. Congrats to all the winners, especially EJAE for that powerful acceptance speech πŸ’–

🌟 I gotta say, it's amazing to see Netflix killing it at the Golden Globes 🀩! Seven wins is insane! And to think that two of their shows, "Adolescence" and "KPop Demon Hunters," took home four and two awards respectively? 😍 That's what I call a statement piece. The fact that EJAE's song won Best Original Song is just wow πŸ’«. It's inspiring to see artists thanking those who've faced rejection for their award, it's like a big ol' hug to the world πŸ€—. And can we talk about Ricky Gervais' special "Mortality"? πŸŽ‰ That's some top-notch comedy right there! All in all, this is what awards shows are meant to be - celebrating talent and giving people a platform to shine πŸ’«

Netflix is on fire πŸ”₯! I mean, who else can pull off winning 7 out of 9 categories? They totally slayed it with "Adolescence" and "KPop Demon Hunters". Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty's wins are so well-deserved - they've been killing it in their roles. And EJAE's acceptance speech for Best Original Song was genuinely inspiring πŸ™Œ. I'm loving how Netflix is pushing the boundaries of comedy with Ricky Gervais' stand-up special too! Apple TV and HBO Max put up a good fight, but let's be real, Netflix is the one to beat right now πŸ’ͺ.

πŸ€” I don't get why we're all so obsessed with streaming services giving out awards πŸŽ‰. It just feels like more noise to me... Can't we focus on something actually making a positive impact on our lives? Like, I mean, have you seen the environment damage that comes with producing and shipping all those physical trophies 🀯 And don't even get me started on the content itself - is it really worth dedicating so much time and money to just... watch TV shows and movies? πŸ“Ί Not saying Netflix doesn't make some great stuff, but for real, can we find ways to invest our time and resources in more meaningful things?

πŸ“Ί just watched all these shows I've been meaning to catch up on "Adolescence" is so deep man it's like they're talking about our generation's struggles 🀯 and "KPop Demon Hunters" is crazy who knew animation could be that good 🎨 but seriously can't Netflix just give us more content already? πŸ˜‚

lol what a night for netflix!! they really brought their A-game 🀩 i mean, four awards for "adolescence" is huge! and "KPop demon hunters" is still so fire πŸ’₯ eJae's acceptance speech was super inspiring too - you go girl! 😊 and can we talk about ricky gervais' stand-up comedy special? it's not every day you see that on tv πŸ“Ί the competition was fierce, but netflix just slayed this year πŸ‘‘

Ugh, this is just what I expected - another streamer dominating all the awards πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Like, congrats to them and all, but it's getting old seeing one platform sweep everything every year πŸ™„. And don't even get me started on the "inspirational" acceptance speeches, like that EJAE song is just a generic motivational clichΓ© πŸ’”. I mean, can't they come up with something original for once? And what about all the other talented creators out there who didn't get any love tonight? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ It's just so... predictable πŸ˜’

omg I'm so glad they gave those acting awards to "Adolescence"!!! Stephen Graham was born for that role 🀩 and Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty are so underrated! They really brought the drama πŸ’₯! And can we talk about how amazing EJAE's song is?! 🎢 "Never give up"... it's like, such a perfect message πŸ™Œ. I'm loving how Netflix is taking over the awards shows this year... they truly deserve all the wins πŸ†πŸ‘‘.

omg I'm so not surprised about Netflix killing it at the Golden Globes 🀩 they've been on fire with their new shows and original content all year! I mean, "Adolescence" is such a great show, it's like someone took all the best parts of teen dramas and made them into one. And can we talk about EJAE's acceptance speech for that Original Song award? πŸ™Œ it was so inspiring, never giving up on your dreams is exactly what we need to hear right now πŸ’–

awww yay 7 golden globes for netflix πŸŽ‰πŸ‘ can't wait to watch adolescence & kpop demon hunters again, those songs are fire πŸ”₯❀️ and omg erin doherty's win is so deserved she slayed her role 😍 congrats to all the winners and to apple tv too for taking home 2 awards πŸ’ͺ

I mean, think about it... what does it say when one platform dominates an awards show like this? Is it a reflection of our changing entertainment landscape where these massive corporations are creating content that resonates with us on such a deep level? I'm not sure if it's a testament to their skill as creators or just the sheer power of their brand. It's also interesting to see how some shows, like Hulu's "Dying For Sex," get a shoutout despite being under the radar... does that mean we're just starting to appreciate more niche content? And what about the message in EJAE's speech - it's easy to say that, but is it something we can really take away and apply to our own lives? It feels like there's so much more to this story than just a winner-takes-all scenario... πŸ€”

man... netflix is on fire πŸš€πŸ‘ their shows are so sick rn and that EJAE performance was EPIC πŸ’₯ i love how they're giving shoutouts to people who never gave up, you feel? πŸ™Œ it's all about being grateful for the recognition, right? πŸ€— anywayz, it's clear netflix is gonna be a major player in awards shows 2026 & on. can't wait to see what they do next! πŸ’₯πŸŽ‰

Yaaas! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘ I'm so hyped for Netflix right now!!! πŸ˜† They totally killed it at the Golden Globes and I think they've finally proven to everyone that they're not just a one-hit wonder anymore. "Adolescence" and "KPop Demon Hunters" are straight fire πŸ”₯! And I love how EJAE's acceptance speech was so inspiring - never give up on your dreams, folks! πŸ’– It's amazing to see the talent coming out of Netflix right now. Apple and HBO Max were close behind, but let's be real, Netflix is where it's at this year πŸ€©πŸ‘€

I'm loving how Netflix absolutely slayed at the 2026 Golden Globes 🀩! I mean, seven wins is insane! It just goes to show that their original content is consistently pushing boundaries and breaking records. "Adolescence" and "KPop Demon Hunters" are both phenomenal shows that really resonated with audiences. And can we talk about EJAE's acceptance speech for Best Original Song? πŸ™Œ That message of perseverance and believing in oneself is so inspiring, especially for those who've faced rejection. I'm also super stoked that Hulu got in on the action with their first-ever win in the Best Podcast category! It just goes to show that they're definitely not slacking off.

But what really caught my eye was how Apple TV+ and HBO Max stepped up their game with some amazing wins of their own πŸ€”. Seth Rogen's performance in "The Last Man" is seriously impressive, and Jean Smart's win for her role in "Hacks" is well-deserved. And let's not forget Amy Poehler's award for her podcast – it just goes to show that comedy is a universal language that transcends platforms.

Overall, I think the Golden Globes really highlighted the incredible talent and creativity across all streaming platforms πŸŽ₯πŸ“Ί. It's going to be an exciting year with even more amazing content hitting our screens! πŸ’‘

omg what a night lol netflix just annihilated everyone else 🀯 they must be doing something right, all those hits from adolescence and kpop demon hunters must've been huge πŸ€‘πŸ‘ plus ricky gervais's stand-up special is straight fire πŸ”₯ amy poehler winning the podcast award for her work on that show is also a major win πŸ‘

I mean, have you ever stopped to think about why we're so fascinated by these celebrities winning awards? Is it really just because they've created something amazing, or is it because our society places such a high value on validation and recognition? Like, what does this award even say about the person who wins it? That they're talented, sure, but also that they fit into some predetermined mold of what we consider "successful"?

And don't even get me started on how weird it feels to be watching people win awards for playing fictional characters. Is that really something to celebrate? Or are we just celebrating ourselves, because the person who won is a reflection of our own hopes and dreams? πŸ€”

🌟 Netflix just took over the Globes for sure πŸ™Œ! "Adolescence" is like my new favorite show πŸ“ΊπŸ’–. Stephen Graham is giving me life with his acting skills 🎬! EJAE's win for Best Original Song is everything πŸ’• and a reminder to never give up on your dreams πŸ’«. Apple and HBO Max are getting close, but Netflix is still the one to beat πŸ”₯πŸ‘

Netflix is on fire πŸ”₯, they're killing it at these awards shows πŸŽ‰! Shows like "Adolescence" and "KPop Demon Hunters" are straight fire πŸ’₯, I'm loving how diverse their content is 🌎... now let's see if they can keep this momentum going all year 🀞
