I'm seriously worried about these situations like this where people feel so desperate that they barricade themselves indoors with a gun 
. Can't we just talk things out or find some other way to resolve conflicts? It's so sad that it comes down to this. I mean, what would make someone feel like they need to take such drastic measures? Are there resources available for people who are struggling and feeling hopeless? We should be supporting each other more, not putting ourselves in harm's way
