Observer’s January Art Fair Calendar

The art fair calendar for January 2026 is already in full swing, offering a diverse range of exhibitions and events for collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts. Among the most anticipated fairs are Este Arte in Uruguay, which kicked off just days after New Year's, followed by Los Angeles Art Show, Condo London, Miami Modern + Contemporary, and FOG Design+Art.

Este Arte, now in its 12th edition, features a curated selection of contemporary art from Latin America and the US, with a focus on single-artist displays showcasing never-before-exhibited works. The fair emphasizes balance between local artists and international trends, providing a unique platform for dialogue between regional art scenes and global markets.

The Los Angeles Art Show, meanwhile, boasts over 90 galleries, museums, and non-profit organizations from around the world, presenting paintings, sculptures, installations, and other mediums in an impressive 180,000 square feet of exhibition space. The fair is framed as a comprehensive survey of contemporary art in the US, with a focus on curatorial ambition and contextualizing work within the city's multicultural fabric.

Condo London, a distributed art fair featuring 50 galleries across 23 London spaces, offers collectors and enthusiasts a blueprint for discovery. Each host gallery co-curates or shares its space with visiting galleries, creating an immersive experience that spans the city's eclectic neighborhoods.

Miami Modern + Contemporary, presented by Art Miami, brings together international galleries spanning blue-chip contemporary, post-war, and modern material alongside emerging artists. The fair aims to build on December momentum while keeping inventory already in the US and in Miami, positioning itself as a pragmatic addition to the global art circuit.

FOG Design+Art, a tightly edited roster of more than 60 international galleries, returns to the Fort Mason Center with a curated scope that pairs a global exhibitor base with an expanded presentation of FOG FOCUS, offering works at more accessible price points. The fair also features thought-provoking discussions on collecting, design, and visual culture.

The London Art Fair, now in its 38th edition, offers collectors and enthusiasts a deep dive into the best of modern and contemporary art from the UK and abroad. The fair boasts a tightly curated selection of leading galleries, with an emphasis on balance between discovery and confidence.

NAARDEN The Art Fair, set in the charming historic town of Naarden in the Netherlands, presents over 60 galleries showcasing classic and contemporary artworks, including jewelry and design. This year's theme is "Blue is the Colour," reflecting sea or sky hues in many works on display.

ART SG, organized by Magnus Renfrew, brings together 106 galleries from more than 30 countries and territories with a focus on context and experimentation. The fair prioritizes artistic agency as a quiet form of engagement, emphasizing material choices, gestures, and images that register care, responsibility, and ethical presence.

Art Palm Beach, considered a 'midwinter must,' offers a wide-ranging display of artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, and fine art glass. The 2026 edition will debut "Sylvester Stallone: Evolution," the first retrospective to unite six decades of the actor's paintings in one exhibition.

The Winter Show, now in its 71st edition, showcases 5,000 years of art and design at New York City's Park Avenue Armory. This quintessentially sumptuous fair offers a range of works, including Roman glass, Chinese ceramics, modern, and contemporary American art and furniture.

As the January art fair calendar continues to unfold, there are numerous other fairs taking place around the world, each offering unique experiences for collectors, curators, and enthusiasts. From Art Herning in Denmark to Pavilion Art Fair in Taipei, these events demonstrate the diversity and richness of the global art scene.

🌎 I think it's awesome that there are so many art fairs happening around the world in January! 🤩 It's like a big party for art lovers everywhere. Each fair has its own unique vibe and focus, from showcasing local artists to featuring international trends.

I love how Este Arte emphasizes balance between local and global art scenes - it's great to see more representation of Latin America in the art world. And Condo London's distributed format sounds like a lot of fun, with all those galleries scattered across different neighborhoods in London.

Art Palm Beach is always a highlight for me, with its eclectic mix of artistic disciplines and high-profile exhibitions. I'm looking forward to seeing "Sylvester Stallone: Evolution" - who knew the actor had such amazing paintings? 🤓

The global art scene just keeps getting more diverse and exciting, and it's awesome that there are so many opportunities for collectors, curators, and enthusiasts to discover new artists and works. 💡

omg i'm low-key excited for este arte this year 🤩 they've got some amazing local artists lined up and it's gonna be sick to see those never-before-exhibited works on display 💥 plus, i love how they're balancing local talent with international trends - can't wait to explore the fair and discover new art! 🎨💼

OMG 🤩 its going to be such an epic year for art lovers!!! I'm already super stoked about Este Arte in Uruguay - never been to a fair that focuses so much on local artists too! 🌟 And can't wait to explore Condo London, all those galleries across 23 spaces sounds like a dream come true 😍. But, gotta say, I'm also loving the idea of FOG Design+Art having more accessible price points - makes art feel even more within reach 💕 What's your fave art fair? 🤔

🤔 just noticed that every year, art fairs are popping up everywhere - it's like they're trying to show off their curated selection 🎨. I mean, who needs a calendar when you can just create your own dates? January is already overbooked with so many events... do we really need all these different types of fairs? some seem too commercialized 🤑 while others are actually doing something new and interesting 💡 like FOG Design+Art trying to offer works at more accessible price points.

can't wait for january 2026 already 🤩 art fairs are always so much fun and a great way to discover new artists and trends... i'm loving that este arte is focusing on single-artist displays - it's such an exciting way to experience contemporary art 💻 los angeles art show seems like it's going to be huge, 90 galleries and all that space is crazy 🤯 but hey, it's always great to see so many talented artists showcasing their work... and condo london sounds like a really cool way to explore the city through its different neighborhoods 🗺️ what i love about art fairs too is how they bring everyone together - collectors, curators, artists... it's such a collaborative vibe 💕

OMG you guys, have you seen all these art fairs poppin' up already in 2026 🤯?! Like what's going on, is it some kind of plot to control our minds with art or something? 😉 Every major city seems to be hosting its own fair, and I'm just like, "Wait a minute, isn't there enough art for everyone?" 🤔

And don't even get me started on the theme of one of these fairs, "Blue is the Colour" 🌊... Is that some kind of code? Are they trying to tell us something about the color blue or our society's obsession with it? 🤷‍♀️ I'm low-key freaked out, tbh 😅.

Anywayz, all these art fairs must be part of a larger plan, like some sorta mass hypnosis technique to get us hooked on art for life 💉. But honestly, who am I kidding? The real question is... will anyone actually make it to all these fairs before the year ends 🤯?

🎨 January is already heating up with the art fair calendar 📅! I'm loving how diverse it's getting - from Este Arte's focus on Latin American and US artists 🌍 to Los Angeles Art Show's massive 180k sq ft exhibition space 🤯. Each fair offers something unique, whether it's Condo London's immersive experience or FOG Design+Art's curated scope. And let's not forget the international flair with galleries from over 30 countries and territories at ART SG 🌎.

But what really gets me is how these fairs cater to different interests and preferences - from solo artist displays at Este Arte to collector-friendly prices at FOG Design+Art 💸. It's all about finding that balance between local art scenes and global trends, don't you think? 🤔

One thing I'm looking forward to this year is the London Art Fair's focus on modern and contemporary UK art - always excited to discover new talent 🎨. And who knows, maybe we'll even spot some hidden gems at the smaller fairs like Naarden The Art Fair or Pavilion Art Fair? 🤔

🤔 The way these art fairs are all about balance between local artists and international trends is really interesting. Like, Este Arte's focus on Latin America and US contemporary art is a great example of how regional art scenes can intersect with global markets 🌎 And Condo London's distributed format is so cool - it's like a treasure hunt for collectors! 💡 Each fair has its own vibe and unique approach to showcasing art, which I think is what makes the scene so diverse and exciting 🎨

ugh January is always so crowded with art fairs 🤯 like what even is the point of most of them? they're just a bunch of overpriced booths and pretentious people trying to make connections 🙄 and the curators are all just trying to fit in with the latest trends, forgetting about actual talent 🎨 some of these fairs feel more like commercial events than actual art showcases. and what's up with all the different themes and focuses? can't they just have one theme and stick to it?! and the prices... ugh, it's like they're trying to make bank off collectors' desperation 💸 anyway, i guess some people might actually enjoy these things 🤷‍♀️

omg 🤩 just read about all these amazing art fairs happening in jan 2026! i'm so hyped for este arte in uruguay, it's like a whole platform for latin american artists to shine 💫 can't wait to see all the single-artist displays and balance between local & international trends. los angeles art show is also going to be lit 🎉 with over 90 galleries and museums, gotta check out that 180k sq ft of exhibition space! 🤯

I'm low-key hyped about all these art fairs happening this January 🎨! It's amazing how many platforms there are for artists to showcase their work and connect with collectors. I wish more of these fairs prioritized accessibility, though - some art pieces can be totally out of my budget 💸. But overall, it's awesome that we're seeing so much diversity in the art world right now 🌎.

I'm super curious about the London Art Fair and how they curate their selection of galleries - do you think they'll feature more UK artists this year? 🤔 Also, I've heard great things about Condo London, but have you seen it in person? 👀
