OMG u guys this is like so frustrating
! One in six autistic kids are just missing out on school because of inadequate support and it's literally heartbreaking. I mean, can you imagine having to deal with anxiety and sensory overload every day?
It's not fair at all. The government needs to step up their game here and invest more in teacher training and mental health support teams. £200m just isn't going to cut it
and £3bn is a good start but what about the long-term plan?
And don't even get me started on the education health and care plans... that's like, the whole point of having extra support in place.
If they're taking those away, it just means more kids will be suffering. I'm literally shaking with rage right now
. We need to make sure these reforms actually help autistic kids, not just give parents a false sense of security. Like, what's the point of investing if it's just going to be ignored?
