Patrick Reed leaving LIV Golf for PGA Tour return

Patrick Reed has announced his decision to leave LIV Golf and return to the PGA Tour. The 35-year-old golfer expressed his desire to rejoin the traditional circuit, where he got his start in golf with his wife Justine.

Reed cited being a "traditionalist at heart" as the reason for his departure from LIV Golf. By choosing to compete on the DP World Tour and possibly improve his standing for the 2027 PGA Tour season, Reed aims to solidify his position among professional golfers.

In his previous stint on LIV Golf, Reed finished seventh or higher in the standings three out of four years as a member of Dustin Johnson's team. Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka has also made a return to the PGA Tour, with Kevin Na and Hudson Swafford having submitted applications for reinstatement.

Reed's decision comes after he revealed last week that he was not under contract to play for LIV Golf in the upcoming season. The golfer expressed gratitude to his fans for their continued support while asking them to respect his family's decision regarding their future.

I'm loving how Patrick Reed is all about doing what feels right for him and his family 🀩. Leaving LIV Golf behind just makes sense, especially since he's always been a traditionalist at heart πŸ’―. It's great that he's choosing to come back to the PGA Tour where it all started for him - I'm sure his wife Justine is super proud of him supporting their family together πŸ‘«. Now, let's see how this whole thing plays out and if Reed can really solidify his position among the pros πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ!

I'm kinda surprised by this move from Patrick Reed πŸ€”πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ. I mean, he was crushing it on LIV Golf for a sec and seemed pretty happy with the $$$ πŸ’Έ. But I guess being a "traditionalist at heart" is a strong reason to come back to the PGA Tour 😊. It's cool that his wife Justine is involved too - she's an awesome golfer herself! πŸ‘«. Now we're seeing some of the big names like Brooks Koepka and Kevin Na return to the traditional circuit... this is gonna be interesting to watch πŸ“Ί!

just saw this news about Patrick Reed and I gotta say, it's kinda interesting how he's making a switch back to the PGA Tour πŸ€”. I mean, being a "traditionalist at heart" is definitely a valid reason for leaving LIV Golf - the golf world has been pretty divided lately with all these new tours popping up, so it's good that Reed is going back to where his journey started πŸ’ͺ.

It'll be cool to see how he does on the DP World Tour and if it helps him improve his standing for next year πŸ“ˆ. And I'm glad to hear he's giving thanks to his fans for their support - family is everything, right? πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦. It's also good to see other players like Brooks Koepka and Kevin Na making moves like this too πŸ’Ό.

LIV Golf is like that one relative who just won't leave - it's always trying to come back, but never quite makes it πŸ™„! Patrick Reed's decision to ditch LIV and head back to the PGA Tour is music to my ears, I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned traditional golf swing? πŸ˜‚ He's getting his start all over again with Justine, his better half, which is like the ultimate power couple in golf. And let's be real, if he can out-maneuver Phil Mickelson and co., we're all gonna be living our best lives πŸ€‘... or at least that's what I'll tell my therapist when I need to work through some golf-induced anxiety πŸ˜…!

think he made the right call imo πŸ€”, been watching him on liv golf and felt like he was just going through the motions, always seemed a bit out of place, but still love his game 😊, glad to see him getting back to what makes him happy (and wife justine seems amazing btw πŸ‘«)

πŸ€” Being free is being able to choose what you want, and golf seems like a sport where freedom of choice really matters. Rejoining the PGA Tour will allow him to compete on a circuit that holds more meaning for him and his family. It'll be interesting to see how this move affects his career and relationships with his fellow pros.

omg u guys i cant even 🀯 so patrick reed is leaving liv golf and im like yay because he's finally coming back to the pga tour where he started out with justine πŸ’• its like he said he's a traditionalist at heart lol idk about that but its clear he wants to be back among his old pals on the pga tour 🀝 anyway i feel bad for liv golf cuz they're losin another top golfer and it seems like brooks koepka is makin a comeback too so thats cool 😎 but i gotta ask why patrick didnt just leave in the first place lol was he under some kinda contract or somethin? anyway reed's wife justine must be super proud of him cuz hes finally doin what he knows best πŸ™Œ

can't believe they're bringing back the "traditionalists" just like that lol. i mean, i get it, patrick reed wants to go back to the pga tour where he got his start, but what about the players who actually joined liv golf for a fresh start? it feels like they're being pushed out by their own guys πŸ™„. and another thing, why are we still dealing with this whole contract thing? can't they just be transparent and honest about their membership status from the get-go?
