'Payback will be severe': Mickey Rourke vows revenge on those behind crowdfunder 'scam' in his name

Mickey Rourke Vows Brutal Revenge on Those Behind Crowdfunder 'Scam'

Actor Mickey Rourke has threatened severe repercussions against individuals behind a GoFundMe crowdfunder set up in his name, purportedly to raise funds for the struggling star. The appeal was launched on January 4th with an initial goal of $60,000, but it's now been revealed that the money raised more than exceeded expectations, eventually reaching over $100,000.

However, Rourke made it clear from the start that he had no involvement in the crowdfunder, stating "I wouldn't take a nickel of charity." In recent days, his anger towards the situation has only intensified. On Instagram, Rourke lashed out at those responsible, describing them as "vicious", "cruel", and "embarrassing".

The actor claimed that he had been offered accommodation and financial aid by longtime friends in an effort to help him cover overdue rent and avoid eviction from his Los Angeles home. He was reportedly "soo upset & embarrassed" by the news, but instead of accepting their kindness, Rourke chose to vent his anger on social media.

Rourke's lawyer has since attempted to reimburse those who donated money, returning only 10% of the funds so far. Despite this, the actor remains resolute in his vow of revenge against those responsible for the crowdfunder. His warning that "payback will be severe" suggests a deep-seated desire for justice and a willingness to take drastic action.

As one by one the truth emerges about the GoFundMe scam it would seem Mickey Rourke has been forced into action and its unlikely he will be silenced, his fierce anger is set to continue as it unfolds.

idk why this guy's getting so worked up... like, 100k for a guy who said he didn't even want charity 🤑🤷‍♂️ he's all bent outta shape about people helping him out, meanwhile he was probably enjoying the extra cash. and now he's threatening revenge? seems like a pretty weak comeback to me 😏 it's just people being kind, what did they do to deserve that? btw 10% reimbursement is still way more than he gave back 🤑

🤬 I gotta say, this whole thing with Mickey Rourke and that crowdfunder is just wild. Like, I get it, being scammed out of your own name can be pretty frustrating, but coming at those behind the scam like that? It's almost like they're trying to make a spectacle out of it. And let's be real, $100k is a lot of money - it's crazy that Rourke didn't even bother to look into what was going on before just taking off on social media about it.

But at the same time, I can understand why he's so upset. Being offered kindness and help by friends only to have that ruined by some scammers? That's gotta sting. And yeah, his lawyer trying to reimburse people who donated is a pretty weak attempt at damage control. So yeah, payback might be in order, but let's hope it doesn't escalate into something crazy.

I'm also kinda curious - what was the actual motivation behind this crowdfunder? Was it just some random scam or was there something more going on? I mean, GoFundMe has a pretty good track record of vetting appeals, so it's gotta be worth looking into. Anyway, this whole thing is definitely got my attention! 🤯

Omg this whole thing is just wild 🤯... I get why Mickey's mad - he was clearly taken aback by the situation and feels duped. But come on, going on Instagram rants? 😒 That just seems like a big ol' public tantrum. Like, can't he just talk to his friends about it privately instead of airing all his dirty laundry online? 🤷‍♂️ And now he's threatening everyone involved - that's not cool at all... it feels like a huge overreaction on his part. But at the same time, I feel bad for him too - losing rent and eviction stuff is super stressful 💸. Maybe a middle ground would've been better here... 🤔

omg this is getting good 🤣 i mean i feel bad for mickey rourke but like seriously who tries to scam someone in their own name? 🙄 the worst part is that these people were trying to help him and he went and humiliated them on instagram 👎 still can't believe he's going after them with his "revenge" tho... seems kinda petty to me 😂

I don’t usually comment but... I feel kinda bad for Mickey Rourke, y’know? He's already going through some tough times financially, and those people just swooped in and raised like a ton of cash in his name without even asking him first 🤯. And now he’s all fired up on Instagram, ranting away about how unfair it is... I get why he'd be upset, but maybe calm down for a sec? 10% reimbursement isn't exactly gonna cut it, and taking matters into his own hands might not be the best idea either 😬. Still, I guess you can’t blame him for trying to stand up for himself 💪.

🤬 Oh man, this is just crazy! I feel so bad for Mickey Rourke - I mean, who wouldn't want to help out a struggling actor in need? 🤷‍♂️ But at the same time, he's being super unreasonable about it... like, 10% of that money is already going back out to the donors? That's still a lot of cash for those people! 😬 And now he's threatening revenge? Like, I get it, he's upset, but this isn't gonna make things any better. It just makes him look even more bitter and angry... 🤯 What's really going on here? Is there some deeper issue that we don't know about? 🤔

The situation surrounding this crowdfunder is quite perplexing 🤔. On one hand, I can understand why Mickey Rourke would feel disrespected and betrayed by the individuals behind the scam. The fact that they used his name without consent is certainly a breach of trust and decency. However, his response seems disproportionate and vindictive 😬. While it's true that he explicitly stated he wouldn't accept charity, I'm not sure why he feels entitled to mete out revenge on those who may have been misguided or manipulated by the scam. Perhaps a more constructive approach would be for him to address the issue directly with those responsible and seek legal recourse rather than resorting to threats 🤷‍♂️.

OMG 🤯 I'm so dead 😂 about this, but seriously, Mickey Rourke's rage is giving me LIFE 💥! Like, who wouldn't be salty when some ppl scam their name and take advantage of their good vibes? 😒 But at the same time, 10% reimbursement? That's like, super generous, even if it's not enough 🤑. I'm all for him taking action tho, if he wants to give those scammers a piece of his mind 💁‍♀️. Bring it on, Mickey! 💥

I was just watching this really old documentary on my dad's old vhs player 📺, you know, the one with the wonky picture quality? anyway, it was about a bunch of old-school wrestlers and I started thinking, have you ever noticed how some celebrities can be super intense when they're angry, but then they get all soft and mushy in their interviews? like, Mickey Rourke's face alone is giving me anxiety 😩. and what's up with these GoFundMe scams, man? can't people just ask for help honestly instead of taking advantage of others' good intentions? I'm still trying to process this whole thing, but I think I need a snack 🍿

I feel bad for Mickey Rourke, he must have been really upset when he found out that people were trying to help him without even knowing he wanted their help 🤕. But at the same time, those behind the crowdfunder need to understand that using someone's name and info to scam others is never okay 😒. It's like taking advantage of kindness and goodwill.

I think Mickey's anger is justified, but his approach might not be the best way to resolve this 🤔. Threatening "severe repercussions" doesn't necessarily help clear up what really happened or make things right. Maybe a more constructive way for him to address this would be to have an open conversation with the people involved and try to understand their motives? 💬
