Pentagon Official on Venezuela War: “Following the Old, Failed Scripts”

🤔 The fact that the Trump administration can just waltz into another country, kidnap the president, and justify it by saying they have the authority to protect US personnel 🙄 is literally insane! It's like they think the Constitution only applies to them and nobody else. Newsflash: it doesn't work that way! The whole "Article II" thing sounds like a made-up excuse to me... I mean, what even is Article II? Sounds like some bureaucratic mumbo-jumbo 🤷‍♂️

And don't even get me started on the experts saying this is a clear violation of international law 🚫. Like, come on! Can't we have one debate without everyone jumping on the "US is a rogue state" bandwagon? It's just not fair to label an entire country like that based on one operation. I mean, what about the Venezuelan government's role in all this? Are they just blameless victims or did they do something to deserve this? 🤔

Anyway, the fact remains: the US has done some seriously questionable things lately, and this is just another example of them pushing their luck 💥. I'm not saying Venezuela doesn't have its problems, but can't we try to solve those through diplomacy and dialogue instead of resorting to military force? 🤷‍♂️

🤯 I've got some tea about what really went down in that op 🍵. Apparently, there was a major disagreement between Trump's team and the Joint Chiefs on whether or not this operation was a good idea. The JCs were like "nah, dude, we gotta go through Congress first" but Trump was all "nope, I'm gonna do it my way". So yeah, no Congressional approval = bad news 🤦‍♂️. And btw, who knew that Delta Force was so expendable? 😂

.. can't believe what's going on with Venezuela 🤯. It feels like the whole world is holding its breath waiting to see how this unfolds. I'm not sure what to make of it, but one thing's for sure - it's gotta have some serious consequences for US relations with other countries. And what about the people living in Venezuela? They're already struggling so much - it doesn't seem fair that they'd be caught up in all this chaos.

I've lived through a lot of big events in my lifetime, and I gotta say, there are times when you feel like you're just watching history unfold before your eyes. This feels like one of those moments... 🕰️. Fingers crossed for the Venezuelan people and that someone can find a way to bring peace back to the country soon.

It's also got me thinking about the dangers of unchecked power and how it can lead to some pretty scary situations. I mean, who gives Trump the authority to do something like this? And what's the end game here, anyway? Is it just about getting rid of Maduro or is there something else going on that we don't know about yet? 🤔

I'm low-key terrified about what's going down in Venezuela 🤯. This whole "Absolute Resolve" thing sounds like some kinda covert op nightmare 😴. I mean, who needs congressional approval when you're basically running a military coup? 🤑 It's like they think they can just disregard international law and do whatever they want. Newsflash: the US can't just act like a rogue state and expect everyone to roll with it 🙅‍♂️.

And what's up with this justification about Article II of the Constitution? Like, come on, that's not even close to being a solid reason for invading another country 💁‍♀️. And now we've got global leaders and experts calling out Trump's regime as an act of aggression... yeah, it feels pretty dubious to me 😏.

We're basically setting a precedent here where countries can just bully their way into other nations without consequences 🚫. I'm not saying the Venezuelan government isn't messed up, but this is some wild stuff 🤪. What's next? A US-led coup in Canada or something? 🇨🇦
