Police investigating homicide after shooting, large fire at San Bruno home

A shooting and subsequent fire have left one person dead and a San Bruno home in ruins, leaving the community shaken. The incident began at around 3 p.m. on Keefe Court near Rosewood Drive, with police responding to a reported shooting investigation. However, it soon became clear that the situation was far more dire.

As authorities arrived on the scene, they found one victim critically injured, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the deceased has not been released. Meanwhile, the shooter remains at large, and police have yet to comment on whether an arrest has been made or if the suspect was involved in the fire that engulfed the home.

Despite the chaos, a swift response from emergency services ensured that no one else was injured during the evacuation process. However, around 40 people were forced to flee their homes as the fire threatened to spread. Fortunately, by Friday night, all residents had been safely evacuated and returned to their properties.

According to San Bruno Police Department Chief Matt Lethin, the incident is a rare occurrence in the normally safe community of San Bruno, leaving many feeling "particularly alarmed." As part of the ongoing investigation, police are currently assessing the scene once the fire department has contained the blaze. When they are ready, authorities will begin a more thorough examination of the property to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and subsequent fire.

While neighbors have expressed shock at the incident, there is no record of any prior issues with the home or its occupants. As the community comes to terms with this shocking event, residents are left to wonder what led up to such a tragic outcome.

๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ˜ข It's just so senseless... I mean, San Bruno's always been known for being super safe and quiet, you know? And then something like this happens... it's just devastating. 40 people had to leave their homes and now one person is gone ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’”. The police are saying it's a rare occurrence in the community, but I think everyone's feeling pretty rattled right now ๐Ÿ˜•. I've lived around here for years and I've never seen anything like this... it's just so hard to understand what happened ๐Ÿคฏ. The fact that there was no record of any issues with the home or its occupants is even more confusing... did someone just snap? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Whatever the reason, our thoughts are definitely with the victim and their loved ones ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜˜.

Ugh man ๐Ÿคฏ I'm still trying to wrap my head around this San Bruno shooting and fire news. Like I get that it's a one in a million thing happening, but you have to feel for the family and neighbors who are left to pick up the pieces. The fact that the shooter is still on the loose is super unnerving ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I mean I know it's not like this never happens, but it feels like we're living in a bad TV show or something ๐Ÿ“บ You're driving home from work and suddenly there's a shooting. Like what even? The whole thing with the fire just adds to the chaos ๐Ÿ˜ฑ And 40 people having to evacuate their homes? That's crazy! I hope everyone got out safely.

I'm trying not to speculate too much, but it is weird that the shooter didn't get caught on camera or anything ๐Ÿค” Is there some kind of security footage that didn't capture the whole thing? It feels like we're missing something.

๐Ÿ˜ฑ omg can you even imagine living in a house and it just gets torched like that?? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ i feel so bad for the family that lost their home and the person who got shot ๐Ÿ˜ญ anyway, i think the cops need to hurry up with solving this case, like literally 40 people had to evacuate their homes due to the fire and now they have to deal with finding a new place to stay ๐Ÿคฏ i hope they find out what happened and get justice for the family ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ

omg ๐Ÿ˜ฑ what's going on in san brunos?! it's crazy that the shooting and fire just happened like right now & people are still trying to process it ๐Ÿคฏ i mean, 40 ppl had to evacuate their homes? that's insane ๐Ÿšจ how do u even live with someone who's gonna go all out like that? did they know anything about the homeowner or was this just a random thing? ๐Ÿค” and what's up with the police not saying if they've caught the shooter yet? ๐Ÿ˜’ i guess they're still investigating, but it's like, how long is that gonna take?! ๐Ÿ”ฅ anyway, my heart goes out to the family of the person who died ๐Ÿ’”

just saw that crazy news about the shooting and fire in san bruno ๐Ÿคฏ it's heartbreaking to think about those 40 people who had to flee their homes ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿšจ i mean, i know accidents can happen anywhere but this is just one of those rare incidents where everything went wrong ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’” hopefully the police can get to the bottom of it and bring some closure to the community ๐Ÿ’ก also gotta give props to the emergency services for getting everyone out safely ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿค• I'm still trying to wrap my head around what happened in San Bruno ๐Ÿคฏ. A shooting and fire that just left one person dead and a whole neighborhood shaken ๐Ÿ˜”. 40 people had to evacuate their homes because of the fire, which is just devastating. The thing that's really got me is how quickly emergency services responded, though - it was super reassuring to see that everyone was safe ๐Ÿ™.

But I'm also curious about what led up to all this. Was there something specific that triggered the shooting? It's crazy that this kind of thing can happen in a community that's supposed to be so safe ๐Ÿ˜•. The police are doing their best to figure it out, but it's just hard not to think about what could've been done differently ๐Ÿค”.

As for me, I'm glad my friends and family are all good ๐Ÿ™. But as someone who's passionate about online communities (I know, sounds weird ๐Ÿ˜‚), I have to say that the idea of a tragedy like this happening in a neighborhood is just super sobering ๐ŸŒ‘. It makes you realize how quickly things can change, and how important it is to be looking out for each other โค๏ธ.

OMG, like i cant even right now!! ๐Ÿคฏ I keep thinking about those poor 40 people who had to flee their homes due to the fire... they must be shaking all over and stuff. I'm so worried about them, you know? ๐Ÿ˜” The fact that it happened in a safe community like San Bruno just makes it worse. I mean, what's going on?! ๐Ÿค” The police are still investigating, but i guess we'll have to wait and see how everything goes down. I hope the shooter is caught soon and justice is served. Poor victim too... ๐Ÿ’€ RIP i guess ๐Ÿ˜ข

๐Ÿ˜” just heard about this terrible incident in San Bruno and it's still hard to process... 40 people displaced from their homes is crazy! ๐Ÿคฏ I feel for those who lost loved ones or homes to the fire. It's always shocking when these things happen, even in safe communities like San Bruno. ๐Ÿ˜• The fact that police are still searching for the shooter is really concerning, but at least everyone got out safely. Fingers crossed they catch the person responsible soon... ๐Ÿคž

OMG, just saw that crazy news about San Bruno and I'm still trying to process it ๐Ÿคฏ! One person dead, one home totally destroyed... it's just so sad ๐Ÿ˜”. You'd think that kind of thing wouldn't happen in a safe community like San Bruno, but apparently, even the best places can be affected by tragedy ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ. The fact that there were no prior issues with the homeowner or their property makes it all the more baffling ๐Ÿค”. I hope the police are able to figure out what happened and bring closure to the family of the victim ๐Ÿ’”. It's just really sad when something like this happens, especially during a time when you're trying to go about your daily life without a care in the world ๐Ÿ˜•.

I'm tellin' ya, somethin's off about this whole thing ๐Ÿค”. I mean, think about it, 3 p.m., that's like, prime time for a setup, right? And the fact that there was no warning signs of any kind, no history of issues with the home... it's just too convenient ๐Ÿ˜’. And what's up with the fire department not gettin' to the scene till hours later? That's some suspicious timeline goin' on ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ. And let's not forget about all those folks who had to evacuate their homes... what if this was a test run for somethin' bigger? I know it sounds crazy, but you can't rule out the possibility that there's more to this story than we're bein' told ๐Ÿ”.

Ugh I'm still trying to wrap my head around this ๐Ÿคฏ. One person dead and their whole house is gone? It's just so senseless ๐Ÿ’”. I feel bad for the people who lost their homes and are having to deal with all of this trauma ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. The fact that it happened in a safe community like San Bruno makes it even more shocking ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. The police are being super tight-lipped about what happened, which is making everyone even more anxious ๐Ÿค”. I hope they catch the person responsible soon so we can finally get some answers ๐Ÿ”. It's just... why? Why would someone do something like that? ๐Ÿ’€

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ, like I know San Bruno is considered safe and all but this is just wild, you feel? I mean one minute you're chillin' at home, the next your place is on fire and someone's shot... it's crazy ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. And for real though, 40 people having to flee their homes is no joke, that's like a whole family being displaced ๐Ÿค. I'm all for the police getting to the bottom of this investigation but come on, can we please get some answers already? Like, what was going on at that house and why did it escalate so quickly? It's like they just... vanished into thin air ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘ป. Anyway, my heart goes out to the victim's family and loved ones, sending all my positive vibes ๐Ÿ’•๏ธ.

That's so scary ๐Ÿค•, one minute your life is normal and the next something like that happens. My heart goes out to all those who lost someone or had to leave their homes in an instant ๐Ÿ’”. It's just awful how quickly things can escalate into tragedy. I hope the police find answers soon so people can start to heal ๐Ÿคž. It's crazy that it happened in a community that's supposed to be safe and peaceful... like, what even is going through someone's mind when they do something like that? ๐Ÿ˜•

This is so devastating ๐Ÿค•... San Bruno is usually super quiet and safe. I mean, you never hear about anything like this happening there. It's just one of those things that makes you feel really uneasy when it happens in your own city. The fire department and police did an amazing job responding quickly, though - at least nobody else got hurt. But 40 people having to leave their homes? That's a lot to deal with ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ˜“... the investigation is probably gonna take some time to figure out what happened, but it's hard not to think about all the 'what ifs' right now ๐Ÿ˜”
