I'm low-key worried about Reid Hoffman's suggestions
. Like, he wants to control social media for kids? That sounds super paternalistic to me. Can't we just educate them on how to navigate it safely instead of taking away their online freedom? And what about all the algorithms that are already being used to manipulate kids into buying stuff or spreading propaganda? Shouldn't we be working to combat those issues rather than trying to control every aspect of our digital lives?

. Are they gonna make it more transparent and accountable? Or just create this perfect facade that hides all the flaws in the system? I don't know if that's what we need right now. We should be working on making our tech systems more democratic, not trying to impose some idealized American vision on them.
Misinformation is a huge problem, but shouldn't we be focusing on getting accurate info out there instead of just deleting it? Or is the goal to silence dissenting voices rather than promote truth and debate?
