idk what's going on with silent hill anymore. feel like they're just rehashing old stuff instead of trying something new the visuals are still super creepy but the story is so meh. james is a hot mess and i get why he's desperate to find mary but it feels like he's just running around in circles
I'm tellin' ya, this new film, Return to Silent Hill, feels like they're tryin' to cover up somethin'. The way the story just kinda meanders along without any real resolution, it's like they don't wanna reveal the truth. I mean, what really happened to James's love interest? It's all just vague flashbacks and confusing imagery. And that ending? It's like they're just teasin' us, leavin' us hangin'. I've got a feelin' there's more goin' on here than meets the eye...
Ugh, can't believe they dragged out the return to silent hill like this ... director's trying too hard to recreate that eerie vibe from the original, but instead ends up with a mess that's all over the place . James's character is just so whiny and desperate, makes me wanna slap him (but not in a good way) . And don't even get me started on Mary, feels like they took every leftover plot thread from silent hill 2 and mashed it into this half-baked story . Need some serious editing and narrative polishing before I can even consider giving this one a thumbs up
idk about this new silent hill movie... feels like they took all the eerie visuals and creepy atmosphere from the games and mashed them together without really adding anything new to the story . i mean, james's obsession with mary just felt like a lazy way to create tension, you know? it'd be cool if they explored some of the themes from silent hill 2 more deeply, like the guilt and grief that james is carrying around. as it stands, return to silent hill feels like a skippable movie to me
just watched the trailer for Return to Silent Hill and i'm kinda meh about it ... director christopher gans is back after 20 yrs and its based on silent hill 2, but idk if its gonna be good ... i mean, jermey irvine looks alright as james, but the girl he's into looks suspiciously like his ex lol ... atmosphere and visuals are def eerie tho ... hope it gets better on release day
