Rights group says thousands of protesters killed in Iran

"Iran Human Rights Monitor Alarms at Slaughter of Protesters as Death Toll Mounts"

A Norwegian-based human rights organization has shed light on the grim situation unfolding in Iran, where thousands of protesters have lost their lives since demonstrations began. According to the group's most recent assessment, 3,428 protesters have been verified dead, but it warns that this number may be a mere fraction of the actual toll.

The figure is deeply concerning and raises questions about the regime's willingness to quell dissent with such brutal force. However, independent verification has been severely hampered by an internet blackout, which has limited our understanding of the situation on the ground.

Other estimates suggest that the death toll may be even higher, ranging from over 5,000 to as many as 20,000. This staggering disparity underscores the regime's lack of transparency and its willingness to conceal the true extent of human rights abuses.

The grim picture paints a devastating picture of a government that seems hell-bent on crushing opposition and dissent. The humanitarian situation in Iran has taken a dark turn, with the death toll continuing to rise as security forces maintain their grip on the country.

omg this is soooo worrying! 🤯 i mean like 3k+ ppl dead and no one knows how many more cuz of that internet blackout is literally insane!!! 😲 it's crazy what these ppl are goin thru in iran...i dont think its right for any govntment to squash peoples rights like thats just not okay, you feel? 💔

Ugh, 3,428 is probs way low, don't u think? I mean, come on, they're sayin' it's just a "mere fraction" of the actual toll? That sounds like def a cover-up to me 🤔. Like, how can you even verify that many people are dead when there's an internet blackout? It's all super suspicious. And 5-20k is totally plausible too. I've been sayin' for weeks now that this regime is brutal and won't stop until they silence everyone who speaks out against 'em 😡. They need to get their act together and be more transparent about what's goin' on in Iran. It's just not right 🤷‍♀️

I'm totally freaking out about this 🤯 Iran is literally taking its people for granted. 3,428 verified deaths is already a horrific number, but those other estimates are just mind-blowing... I mean, how many lives could that be? It's like they're trying to control the narrative and hide what's really going on over there. We need more transparency and accountability from governments, you know? The internet blackout is like, totally unacceptable 🚫 And it's not just about the numbers, it's about the human cost... my heart goes out to all those families who are losing loved ones 💔

man this is just heartbreaking what's going on in Iran it's like they're trying to erase all hope and freedom from the people theres no excuse for such brutal force against protesters its like they dont even care about human life anymore 😔💔 i feel so sorry for the families of those who have lost loved ones can we do something to help or are our voices just being silenced by governments and corporations 🤐

🤕 the numbers are mind-blowing 3k+ protesters dead is just crazy like they're not even counting anymore 🤯 and 20k might be low lol what's going on in iran right now it feels like a war zone out there 😷 and yeah no internet for verification makes it super hard to get an accurate picture of the situation 📊 i mean who needs transparency when you can just keep killing people, right? 💀 anyway, we should all be sending some love and support to the protesters and their families ❤️

can't believe the death toll is already over 3k 🤯 and still nobody's doing anything about it...like, what even is the point of having human rights monitors if they're not gonna take action? 😒 the internet blackout is just a nice excuse for the gov to keep us in the dark 📵 meanwhile, people are literally losing their lives and we get this vague "grim picture" 🤔
