SMRs make so much sense, like how can a country have 2% of system costs ... Rwanda is totally on the right track here , tripling power generation by mid-2030s sounds ambitious but achievable. I'm all for it too , just hope they get that financing thing sorted ASAP ... Africa's got so much potential and it's about time we see more of that energy abundance being harnessed
I'm totally down on this whole nuclear power thing . I mean, think about it, we're basically talking about a bunch of tiny reactors that could potentially be hacked and cause some serious harm. And what's the deal with Rwanda trying to triple its power generation with SMRs? That sounds like a recipe for disaster to me! The idea that nuclear energy is more reliable than renewables just doesn't add up. Have you seen those solar panels in action on a sunny day? They're pretty darn reliable if you ask me .
