Social Platforms Are Moving Onto TV Screens—Industry Experts Explain Why

I'm getting so sick of all these social media giants trying to take over traditional TV 🤯. I mean, can't they just leave us alone? First it's TikTok on our TVs, then Instagram is trying to get in on the action... what's next? 📺😩 And don't even get me started on how much ads are going to be everywhere now that Pinterest is getting into connected TV. Can't we just watch our shows without being bombarded with commercials all day? 🚫 I swear, the creator economy might be driving this trend but it's just going to lead to more clutter and less quality content in the end...

Man I remember when we used to watch TV on actual sets at home, you know? 📺 Now it feels like they're all just jumping onto social media platforms...like TikTok or something. It's crazy that Instagram has this "Instagram for TV" thing and Pinterest is getting into connected TV ads too! 🤯 The creator economy is definitely driving the trend towards microdramas on mobile devices, but I'm not sure how long it'll last before they all start to lose steam...and eMarketer says social media time spent is gonna be flatlining next year? 😬 It's like, what even is the point of having a TV if you're just gonna watch Reels on it instead of shows or movies? 🤔 I mean, YouTube managed to make it work by being mobile-first and now it's dominating TV viewing...but can everyone else do that too?
