South Street seeks artists to design new lamppost banners for beautification project

idk why ppl are so hyped about this...lamppost banners? i mean, its nice i guess. but 15-20 artists for a project that's just gonna be on lampposts all day? seems like a lot of drama to me 🤷‍♂️. what if someone makes something bad? then the whole district gets ruined 🌫️. just saying

omg u guys! south street in philly is getting a major makeover 🎉💡 and it's gonna be lit!!! they're gettin' artists to design these sick banners for the lampposts 🤯 and i'm low-key hyped for the art vibes 🎨🌈 meanwhile, i was just imaginin' what kind of sick designs they could do with israel zagar's magic gardens in mind 🤔 gotta check out this project! maybe they can even get some murals done on the buildings... wouldn't that be a whole 'nother level of awesome?! 😲

🌆💡 I think this project is gonna be amazing! As an artist myself, I'm super stoked that Philly is giving us a chance to showcase our talents. 🎨 The idea of having these gorgeous lamppost banners with all sorts of sick artwork is literally the best thing since sliced bread 🍞️. I can already imagine how dope it's gonna look when all those murals and graphics are strung up along South Street 🌈.

I'm curious to see what kind of designs people come up with, though - some crazy bold statements, maybe? Or like, really intimate portraits of the neighborhood's history? 🤔 Either way, I know it'll be a total game-changer for the whole area. Here's a little doodle idea I came up with... 👉

Hope that gives you an idea of what it could look like! 🤞 Can't wait to see all the finished designs 💥
