Suspect who allegedly shot top Russian general Vladimir Alekseyev several times has been detained in Dubai, Russia says

Russia says suspect detained in Dubai over shooting of top general Vladimir Alekseyev.

A Russian deputy chief of military intelligence, Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseyev, 64, was hospitalized after being shot several times by an assailant at an apartment building in Moscow on Friday. The attack is believed to be linked to a series of assassinations of senior military officers that Russia has attributed to Ukraine.

According to the Federal Security Service (FSB), Lyubomir Korba, a Russian citizen, was detained in Dubai on suspicion of carrying out the shooting. In addition to Korba, two other individuals were identified as accomplices - one in Moscow and another who had fled to Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described the attack as an "apparent terrorist act" by Ukraine aimed at disrupting peace talks. Ukrainian officials have not commented on Russian allegations of involvement.

The shooting comes after a series of high-profile assassinations of senior military officers, including Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov, who was killed in a car bomb in December 2025, and Lt. Gen. Yaroslav Moskalik, whose killing by a bomb in April has also been attributed to Ukraine.

A Russian man previously living in Ukraine had pleaded guilty to carrying out the attack and stated he had received payment from Ukraine's security services.

The incident occurred on Friday just days after talks between Russian, Ukrainian, and US negotiators wrapped up in Abu Dhabi, aimed at ending the four-year-old conflict in Ukraine.

OMG 🀯 this is getting crazy! I mean, who does Russia think is behind all these assassinations? It's like they're pointing fingers everywhere πŸ˜‚. But seriously, a detained suspect in Dubai? That's some serious international cooperation going on πŸ‘. And to think the talks just wrapped up... it's like Ukraine is just trying to sabotage everything πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I don't know what to believe anymore, all these claims and counter-claims are giving me a headache 😩. Can we just have one honest answer for once?

Ugh, Russia is totally trying to spin this one πŸ™„! I mean, they're saying it's a "terrorist act" by Ukraine, but come on, they just can't even control their own security agencies anymore? It's like, if you don't want someone doing something, you should probably prevent them from happening instead of just blaming someone else. And now they're linking this to some previous assassinations, but those were already pretty suspiciously linked to Ukraine too... I'm not buying the "Ukraine did it" narrative here πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. Dubai's gotta be shaking its head right now, detaining a Russian citizen on suspicion of carrying out a shooting in Moscow... what are they gonna do next?

πŸ˜’ Like, can't believe Russia is trying to spin this as an "apparent terrorist act" by Ukraine again... πŸ™„ It's just so predictable. Anyway, I guess it's nice that Lyubomir Korba got caught in Dubai or whatever πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Not like he could've just disappeared into thin air or something. And poor Lt. Gen. Alekseyev, got shot multiple times... hope he recovers from that πŸ’‰. The fact that this happened just days after the talks in Abu Dhabi is kinda suspicious though πŸ€”. Maybe Russia was trying to send a message, like "Hey, we're not interested in peace talks unless you do what we say"... πŸ˜’

😐 This whole thing is really sus... Russia saying it's an 'apparent terrorist act' by Ukraine but then it just happens to happen right before peace talks? πŸ€” Like, isn't that a bit convenient for them? I mean, what are the odds of these high-profile assassinations all happening around the same time? And now Lyubomir Korba is detained in Dubai? That's some serious international intrigue going on... πŸ’‘

πŸ€” So this is crazy! Russia is saying it was a terrorist act by Ukraine to disrupt peace talks πŸ•°οΈ, but what if that's not true? I mean, the guy who got shot was some big deal Russian general πŸ™. What did he have to do with anything? And now they're saying someone in Dubai is behind it all? That's just suspicious πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. The fact that there were other assassinations like this too makes you wonder if Russia has proof or not πŸ’‘. It feels like they're using this as an excuse to go back on the peace talks negotiations, which would be a huge bummer πŸ˜•. I guess only time will tell what's really going on here... πŸ€”

I'm still trying to wrap my head around all this. Another general gets shot and it sounds like Russia's already blaming Ukraine again πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I mean, can't we have a break from all this tension for one second? Dubai detained some Russian guy, Lyubomir Korba, over the shooting - that's pretty quick work if you ask me πŸ˜’. And what's with these alleged accomplices and Ukraine connections? It just feels like Russia's trying to deflect attention from their own security services who apparently have some shady deals going on...

Ugh, this is getting too serious for my liking 🀯. A top general gets shot like it's nothing and now Russia's all bent out of shape about some guy being detained in Dubai? Like, can't we just have a calm discussion for once without all the posturing and blaming games? And what's with the "apparent terrorist act" label? That sounds super convenient coming from someone who's been accused of, you know, terrorism themselves... πŸ€”. And let's not even get started on how this whole thing is timing-wise - just after those peace talks in Abu Dhabi? Give me a break!

πŸ€” So this guy Lyubomir Korba gets detained in Dubai for allegedly being involved in a Russian general's shooting... I mean, I'm no expert but it seems like Russia's trying to shift blame on Ukraine again. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Those assassinations of senior military officers are getting out of hand, and I hope these talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US actually lead to some real progress. πŸ’‘ It'd be awesome if they could work something out for once. πŸ’•

omg can't believe what's been going down in Russia lately... like the latest assassination of that top general was super intense πŸ’₯ anyway, i'm not surprised that Russia is blaming Ukraine for it - they've been saying that for ages now πŸ€” but seriously, two ppl were detained in Dubai and 1 got away to Ukraine? πŸ”’ so many questions still unanswered πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

i also heard there's this other guy who said he was involved in the attack and received payment from Ukraine... talk about a plot twist πŸ”„ and meanwhile, talks between Russia and Ukraine just ended in Abu Dhabi? it feels like we're stuck in some kind of crazy cycle 😩 what's next? πŸ€”

I'm really concerned about this latest development πŸ€•. It sounds like Russia is attributing the attack to Ukraine again, which is getting pretty suspicious πŸ€”. I mean, we've already had a Russian man plead guilty to carrying out an attack and claim he got paid by Ukrainian security services - what are the chances of that just being a coincidence? 😏

And now, they're detaining someone in Dubai on suspicion of being involved in this latest shooting. That's a pretty big stretch for Russia, considering their relationship with Dubai is already pretty complicated 🀝. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it feels like they're trying to pin the blame on Ukraine again.

It's also interesting that the attack happened just days after peace talks between Russian, Ukrainian, and US negotiators wrapped up in Abu Dhabi. It's almost like Russia is trying to sabotage those talks from within πŸ˜’. I wish we could get more info about what really went down here...

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing... it sounds like Ukraine is getting desperate by killing all these high-ranking military officers. I mean, Russia's saying it's an "apparent terrorist act" but from what I've read, they're pretty convinced it was Ukrainian involvement. The plot thickens with Lyubomir Korba being detained in Dubai and allegedly linked to the shooting... πŸ€”πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί

man, this is getting scary... like, how many high-ranking military officers do they gotta kill before someone stops them? 🀯 Russia's saying it's Ukraine's doing, but I'm not sure I believe that. Either way, this just puts a damper on the whole peace talks thing. Like, can't we all just get along for once? πŸ’” And now they're detaining some guy in Dubai... what even is the point of that? Just another case of countries trying to pin the blame on someone else? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ It's like, can't we have a real investigation for once instead of just jumping to conclusions? πŸ˜’

OMG πŸ€―πŸš¨πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊπŸ”«πŸ’₯😱 just heard about the crazy attack in Moscow 😲!!! Russia is super serious about this πŸ’£ and thinks it's all connected to Ukraine πŸ€–πŸ‘€ like, what's going on?! πŸ€”πŸŽ― I don't know who Lyubomir Korba is or why he's a suspect πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ but it sounds like things are getting pretty intense 😬πŸ’ͺ Russia is saying it's a terrorist act πŸ’₯ and Ukraine isn't denying anything 😐

I'm all for peace talks 🀝 and I hope they can get this conflict sorted out soon β°πŸ™ but in the meantime, these kinds of attacks are just so scary πŸ˜¨πŸš¨πŸ’£ Can we please just get some answers?!? πŸ€”πŸ’¬ And what's up with all these assassinations happening lately?!?! πŸ€―πŸ‘€ It's like, one after another... πŸ“ŠπŸ’₯ Something needs to be done ASAP ⏰πŸ’ͺ

omg what a crazy situation 🀯... if russia says korba is the one who did it but he's already detained in dubai how do they even know for sure? πŸ˜‚ is there proof or is this just a case of ukraine blaming russia again? πŸ€” also why would ukraine want to hurt all these senior military officers? are they trying to weaken their army or something? πŸ’‘ did you hear about the guy who said he got paid by ukraine's security services before? that's so fishy 🐟...

This is getting so crazy. Russia accusing someone in Dubai of trying to take out one of their top generals? Like, where's the evidence? And now they're saying it's a terrorist act by Ukraine? That's just not adding up. I mean, we already know that Russia has been trying to shift the blame for all these assassinations onto Ukraine, but this is getting ridiculous. What if Korba was actually framed or mistaken for someone else? The fact that two other people are accused of being accomplices just makes it look even more suspicious. And what's with the timing? This attack comes just days after those talks in Abu Dhabi ended. It's like Russia is trying to sabotage everything. We need real answers here, not just empty accusations and conspiracy theories. πŸ€”πŸ’‘

🀯 can't believe this is happening again Russia trying to blame Ukraine for everything. seems like they're getting desperate πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ anyway, detaining someone in Dubai doesn't necessarily mean they're guilty... gotta see more evidence before jumping to conclusions πŸ’‘ also, what's with all these assassinations of top generals? is this some kinda game they're playing? 😳

You know, when it comes to global politics and power struggles, I wonder if we're all just pawns in a much larger game πŸ€”. This latest attack on Russian General Alekseyev is like a ripple effect, disturbing the already fragile peace talks. It's almost as if the world is playing this delicate dance of tensions, where one wrong move can spark chaos.

I mean, think about it... Russia attributes the assassination to Ukraine, but what if there's more to it? What if there are deeper forces at play that we don't fully understand? The lines get blurred when you start talking about terrorism and geopolitics. It's like trying to grasp a handful of sand - the harder you squeeze, the more it slips away 😩.

The fact that Lyubomir Korba was detained in Dubai just days after peace talks wrapped up is quite telling. Is this some kind of message? A warning shot across the bow, or just a desperate attempt to regain control? Whatever the reason, one thing's for sure: we're all caught up in this web of intrigue, and it's hard to discern what's real and what's just a clever distraction πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ.

omg u cant believe whats goin on!!! russia is gettin all worked up over this shooting of gen alekseyev but like what if it was actually a setup? i mean korba gets detained in dubai out of nowhere and russia thinks its a clear case against him... maybe ukraine is just trying to keep the peace talks from happenin again. dont get me wrong i feel bad for alekseyev, but let's not jump to conclusions here! and btw what if this has something to do with the talks that ended in abu dhabi just a few days ago? russia is so paranoid about ukraine but sometimes u just gotta wonder

omg this is crazy !Russia thinks it's some kind of mastermind game but honestly who knows what's really going on? 🀯 Dubai is like a hub for everyone so I wouldn't be surprised if it's all connected to Ukraine. These assassinations are getting more and more intense, I'm just waiting for something to happen that'll make us all realize how serious this conflict is. And can we please talk about the timing of all these incidents? Just days after those peace talks wrapped up in Abu Dhabi...I mean what do you think they're really trying to achieve here? πŸ€”
