The Gaslighting of Hannah Pettey | Post Mortem

.. this whole thing just feels so unfair ๐Ÿค•. I mean, Daniel Pickett's actions were absolutely despicable, but you gotta wonder what went wrong here. The investigation was dragged out for ages, and it's crazy that more questions weren't being asked about how he managed to poison his wives' food without getting caught sooner. And the fact that he was able to slip through the cracks like that is just... I don't know, it's just really disturbing ๐Ÿคฏ.

And yeah, Hannah Pettey's family has been left with this huge void and a lifetime of pain, and that's just not right ๐Ÿ˜”. We gotta do better than that as a society. We need to make sure that victims' families get the justice they deserve, and not have to go through all this uncertainty and trauma. It's time for us to take a closer look at our system and figure out how we can do it better ๐Ÿ’ก

idk why ppl think this kinda stuff is shocking ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ it's been happenin for yrs & we r still talkin about it like it's news. slow investigations ain't new neither, that's just how the system works sometimes. what's really sad is the fact that Hannahs fam didn't get the support they needed 4 a long time ๐Ÿ’”. maybe if ppl thought more about the consequences of abuse & less about gettin quick convictions, we might b in a better place. btw, life sentence 4 murder? that don't seem like enough ๐Ÿ’€

can't believe they didn't catch on sooner with all the red flags ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’”. lead poisoning is super obvious and yet they were like "oh it's an accident" ๐Ÿ˜’. and what really gets me is how the court system handled everything, it feels like more of a slap on the wrist for Pickett than actual justice ๐Ÿ’ฏ. poor Hannah & her little girl, they're still left with so much trauma ๐Ÿค•. we need to do better, like seriously rethink our whole approach to domestic violence cases ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

I'm still trying to process this whole thing ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. I mean, it's like, on one hand, we're glad that justice was served and Daniel Pickett is behind bars for what he did. But on the other hand, it's just so heartbreaking thinking about Hannah and her little girl being left with all this trauma... ๐Ÿค•

And can we talk about how messed up the whole system is? I mean, come on, slow investigation, questionable evidence handling... it's like they were trying to protect him or something ๐Ÿ˜’. It's frustrating because you'd think that after Hannah passed away, they'd be super vigilant and make sure he gets what's coming to him.

But despite all this, we can't give up ๐Ÿ’ช. We've got to keep pushing for change and making sure that victims' families get the justice they deserve. And also, let's not forget about those of us who are living in abusive relationships... there's always hope ๐ŸŒˆ.

I mean, can you believe how long it took to catch on that Daniel Pickett was using lead to poison his wives? ๐Ÿ™„ It's like, basic detective work, guys! I guess sometimes we just need to wait for someone to die before the system springs into action ๐Ÿ’€. And now Hannah's daughter will be dealing with all this trauma and lead poisoning... what a lovely gift from her dad ๐ŸŽ. I'm shocked that Pickett didn't get life in prison sooner, considering how many people he hurt (and killed). It just goes to show that our justice system can be pretty slow to recognize red flags when they're right under their noses ๐Ÿ”.
