The Guardian view on Iran's protests: old tactics of repression face new pressures | Editorial

I'm thinking, you know? 🤔 these protests in Iran are super confusing. On one hand, I get why people are mad about inflation and stuff, but on another hand, it feels like the whole regime is just gonna try to crack down on anyone who's against them. I mean, have they even considered listening to the people or something? 🤷‍♂️ It's all so... messed up. And Trump's involvement is just adding fuel to the fire, right? Like, shouldn't we be trying to help the Iranian people instead of making it harder for them to get their voices heard? 🙄

Man oh man 🙄... I'm like totally shocked by these protests in Iran. Back in my day 📆, we thought economic issues were just a minor annoyance, not something that could spark a full-blown revolution! And now it seems like the whole country is on fire 🔥... I mean, literally, with all the fires and stuff.

I'm worried about the response from the government, though. They're basically cracking down on people using force and accusations of foreign interference? That's just not cool 😒. And what's up with this Ayatollah guy and his saboteur drama? Can't he just let the people express themselves without turning it into a paranoia fest? 🤯

And I'm also wondering, like, is the US really going to intervene or not? It feels like they're adding fuel to the fire, but at the same time, you can see why they wouldn't want to get involved. This whole thing just feels so complicated and messy...
