... .260/.353/.450 is a nice stat line from the Mexican Winter League, but I'm not buying that it's all because of the level of competition 
. What's with the Padres' move? Are they really expecting him to magically become a power-hitting machine in San Diego? And what about the Phillies? They basically gave up on Verdugo after just 31 games in Triple-A ... I need to see more than just some decent stats from his Winter League stint before jumping to conclusions
