Things You Should Have Done series two review – the Bafta-winning comedy shows flashes of brilliance

Things You Should Have Done series two delivers on its promise of another absurd and unapologetic ride from Chi with a C. Lucia Keskin's creation is now an even more disparate beast than before, shedding Karen Hizli like a bad habit, but thankfully retaining much of the cringe-worthy charm that made the first series so endearingly bizarre.

The second installment opens on a new low for Chi: the loss of her aunt Karen in what can only be described as an ignominious and hilarious demise. While some may lament Hizli's absence, this reviewer can't help but wonder if she faked her own death à la Can You Keep a Secret? to escape the show's increasing chaos. But for now, we're left with a world that has shifted significantly since last year's series.

Keskin remains the linchpin of this chaotic operation, gamely stumbling through therapy sessions and amateur life advice sessions with Bridget Christie as her straight-laced therapist – a role that seems tailor-made to highlight Chi's ineptitude. Sarah Kendall returns as Sarah Gilbeaux, a down-on-her-luck comedian trying to make ends meet, while Juliet Cowan injects some much-needed levity as Claudia, the unstable sister with an affinity for Dr Seuss.

However, it's hard not to feel that Things You Should Have Done is now more of a different show altogether. Gone is the loose narrative conceit that made the first series so endearingly quirky; in its place lies a haphazard assortment of vignettes and misadventures that rarely coalesce into anything meaningful.

That being said, there are flashes of brilliance here – Keskin's unhinged one-liners ("My dead auntie is inside this Drift-max cordless IZ900!") still possess an undeniable je ne sais quoi. And when the show gets it right, its brand of absurdist comedy can be genuinely infectious.

In short, Things You Should Have Done series two is a weird and wonderful beast that will appeal to fans of Stath Lets Flats' offbeat humor and Roughcut's knack for producing eccentric characters. If you're looking for something that will make you laugh, cry (occasionally), or scratch your head in confusion, then this might be the show for you – just don't say we didn't warn you.

idk what to think about series 2 of things you should have done lol... i mean chi is still her cringy self but at least she's got some new ppl around her now 🤣 like sarah kendall as that comedian chick and juliet cowan as the dr seuss obsessed one 😂. keskin's one-liners are still on point tho 💁‍♀️. but seriously, i think the show has lost its way a bit... it's more like a bunch of random sketches than a coherent storyline 🤔. still, if you're into that kind of absurd comedy, then yeah go for it 😂

I'm loving how Things You Should Have Done series two is still all about embracing its weirdness 🤪👏 Chi's aunt Karen's "demise" had me LOLing and wondering if she'd staged it to escape the chaos 😂. The new cast members are a great addition, especially Bridget Christie as Chi's straight-laced therapist – it's like she was made for that role 💁‍♀️! The show's still got that cringe-worthy charm, but now it feels like a different beast altogether 🤖. I mean, the narrative's all over the place and sometimes it doesn't quite coalesce, but those moments of brilliance from Chi are still pure magic ✨. If you're looking for something offbeat and laugh-out-loud funny, this show's definitely worth checking out... just be prepared for some mind-bending moments 😂.

🤣 I'm loving how Things You Should Have Done 2 is embracing its weirdness even more! Chi's antics are still cringe-worthy, but in a good way? Like, who else can make you laugh and face-palm at the same time? 😂 The addition of Bridget Christie as the straight-laced therapist is genius – she's like the anti-Chi. And Juliet Cowan as Claudia is so fun! 🤪 I'm also curious to see where Chi's story takes us next, especially with all these new characters coming into play. Maybe it'll find its footing soon? Fingers crossed it stays true to its quirky spirit... 😊

I'm not sure if I love how the second series of Things You Should Have Done is shaking things up and trying to reinvent itself... 🤔 But at the same time, I kinda wish they'd stick with what made it so weird and quirky in the first place? 💥 I mean, Chi's character has always been my favorite part - she's just so... unhinged! 😂 And I think that's what makes the show work. But then again, without Karen Hizli's presence, the whole thing feels a bit lost without her... 🤷‍♀️ I guess it just depends on how much of a fan you are for Chi to begin with? 🤔

I'm not sure if things are getting weirder or just more confident 😂... I mean, Chi's antics are still cringe-worthy but also kind of lovable? Like, who else can make a death scene look like a hilarious accident? 🤣 And Lucia Keskin is killing it as the main character – her one-liners are on point! 💥 The cast is great too, especially Bridget Christie as Chi's straight-laced therapist – they're just so well-played. But yeah, I can see how the show might feel more disjointed than before... maybe that's just part of its charm? 🤔

I'm intrigued by Chi's character development in series two, particularly her therapy sessions with Bridget Christie 🤣. The way Keskin navigates these awkward interactions is indeed cringe-worthy, yet somehow endearing. I'd love to see how the show explores themes of mental health and self-discovery through this lens.

The addition of new characters like Claudia (Juliet Cowan) and Sarah Gilbeaux (Sarah Kendall) adds a fresh dynamic to the show, but it's clear that Things You Should Have Done is shifting its focus away from a cohesive narrative. While this might make the show less accessible to some viewers, I think the absurd humor and character quirks will still hold up.

The show's willingness to take risks and push boundaries is admirable, even if it doesn't always pay off. The one-liners are indeed brilliant, but sometimes feel like they're trying too hard to be clever 😂. Overall, Things You Should Have Done series two feels like a mixed bag – but in a weird way, that's also what makes it so captivating.

I'm still loving this show but I feel like it's changed so much 🤪📺. They ditched that weird narrative thing that made the first season so lovable and now it's just a bunch of random vignettes 🌈. But at the same time, Chi is still so extra and hilarious 💁‍♀️! And can we talk about Lucia Keskin's one-liners? 😂 "My dead auntie is inside this Drift-max cordless IZ900!" 😂 That's some next level comedy right there 🤣. If you're looking for something weird and wonderful, this show is still the way to go 👍

omg, i'm obsessed with lucia keskin's character chi! 🤣 she's like a trainwreck that you can't look away from 😂 and the therapy sessions with bridget christie are giving me LIFE 💁‍♀️. but, i gotta say, series two feels like a different show altogether 🤔. it's all over the place and sometimes it works, other times it just feels like a bunch of weird vignettes 📺. that being said, keskin's one-liners are still on point 💥 and if you're into absurdist comedy, you'll probs love this show 🤣 #ThingsYouShouldHaveDoneSeries2 #LuciaKeskin #AbsurdistComedy

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS NEW SEASON OF THINGS YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE!!! 🤣 IT'S STILL THE SAME OLD CHAOS THAT I LOVE, BUT WITH A FEW MORE TWISTS AND TURNS! 💥 LUCIA KESKIN IS STILL THE STAR OF THE SHOW, AND HER ONE-Liners ARE STILL THE BEST PART!!! 😂 I MEAN, WHO ELSE COULD MAKE A DEAD AUNTIE INSIDE A DRIFT-MAX CORDLESS IZ900?! 🤪 BUT SERIOUSLY, THIS SHOW IS LIKE NOTHING ELSE OUT THERE - IT'S WEIRD, IT'S WONDERFUL, AND IT'S COMPLETELY ADDICTIVE!!! 💯

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what's happening with Chi's character development 🤯. Like, one minute she's mourning her aunt Karen's supposed demise and the next thing you know, she's just... doing stuff? 🙃 And don't even get me started on how quickly the show abandoned its original narrative thread - it's like they took a look at the first season's trainwreck and thought, "You know what would be a great idea? Let's make it even more disjointed!" 😂 I guess if you're into that sorta thing.

i think things you should have done is like that one aunt who comes to visit every year and makes everyone uncomfortable but still kinda lovable 🤪👵. it's not as cohesive as the first season but keskin's energy is still infectious, even if the jokes feel a bit forced at times. i love how each character is just so... extra 🤩, especially bridget christie's therapist who's like the anti-chi. and claudia's dr seuss obsession has me dead 🤣. all in all, it's still weird, wonderful, and totally worth watching for fans of absurdist comedy 👍

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how different this show has become 🤯📺. I mean, I loved the first season's weirdness and charm, but now it's like Chi's aunt Karen was just a plot device to get her out of trouble... was she faking her own death? 😂 I'm not sure what's more entertaining, Chi's antics or Bridget Christie's straight face as her therapist 🤣. But for real, some episodes feel like they're from a different show altogether - all over the place and lacking that narrative glue. Still, when it clicks, this show is hilarious and infectious 😂. I guess you could say it's a weird and wonderful beast, but honestly, I'm just here for Chi's one-liners 🐒💁‍♀️.

I'm still trying to figure out what happened to Chi last season - did she really fake her own death or was it just a really bad joke? Either way, I'm loving Lucy Keskin's over-the-top antics this time around 🤣. The supporting cast is also killing it, especially Sarah Kendall as the struggling comedian. But, I gotta say, some of these episodes feel like they're just random scenes strung together instead of a cohesive story... still, I'll keep watching for those one-liners 💥!

I gotta say, I'm not sure if I love it or hate it 😂... but what I do know is that Chi's antics are getting more and more cringeworthy by the minute! 🤣 I mean, losing an aunt in a hilariously ignominious way? That's just too much for me. But at the same time, Lucy Keskin's energy is still infectious and Bridget Christie as her therapist is perfection 🙌. And let's be real, some of that humor is just plain ridiculous... I mean who needs Drift-max cordless IZ900?! 😂 Still, I'm not entirely sure if it's more of the same old weirdness or something completely different... maybe I'll stick around to see how this trainwreck plays out? 🤔

omg lol Chi is literally so extra now 🤣 i mean who tries to fake their own death? and Bridget Christie as a therapist is a whole thing 🤯 but seriously keskin's antics are like a trainwreck that u cant look away from 🚂 it's like she took all the weirdness of season 1 and turned it up to 11 🌆 i kinda loved it tho, its like watching a bad dream come to life 😴 but at the same time, can we get back to the loose narrative thing? this feels so disjointed 🤔

I think it's kinda cool how Chi's character has evolved to become even more... well, chaotic 😂. I mean, losing her aunt is pretty wild, but maybe she did fake her own death? 🤔 The new cast members seem awesome though! Bridget Christie as Chi's therapist is a great addition 🙌. What really threw me off though was how the narrative changed between seasons... it feels like a different show now? 🤷‍♀️ Still, if you're looking for something that'll make you laugh and scratch your head, I'd say give it a try! 😂
