Two men are dead and a third is injured after three gunmen opened fire on an SUV outside a White Castle restaurant on the Near West Side, police said. The victims were inside the vehicle at 2356 W. Roosevelt Road when they were approached by the shooters, who fired into the car before fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday and left one man dead at the scene, with the other victim later identified as Lydell Harton, a 48-year-old, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The injured victim was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
Police are searching for three suspects who were last seen fleeing on foot from the scene. A woman who answered the phone at the White Castle restaurant hung up on a reporter, and no other information has been released about the incident or potential motives behind it.

... like what's goin on here? three guys just randomly shoot up a car at a fast food joint? i feel bad for the victims and their families, they didn't deserve that. it's scary when you think about how quickly things can escalate into violence.
. and what's up with the suspects, have they been caught yet? i wish more people would just chill and talk to each other instead of resorting to violence.

I remember when the worst thing that'd happen was someone's kid getting cut off on the highway or a pothole ruining your tires. Nowadays it's like everyone's got a personal vendetta waiting to go off 
. And now there are all these crazy new-fangled guns with more ammo than a water balloon fight at summer camp

And what really gets my goat is that the bad guys just ran off and left the victims in the dust... like they were nothing or something
