Through unity, Black Americans have uplifted democracy

🀯 Just saw this article about Brandon Johnson and it's crazy to think Black voters have been showing 80% cohesion on their candidate choices since securing the right to vote πŸ“ŠπŸ’ͺ. That's insane unity! πŸ‘₯

Did you know that according to Pew Research, Black Americans are 3x more likely to participate in local community organizations than whites? πŸ’¬ It's no wonder they're building coalitions to defend against those who attack civil rights and workers' rights 🀝.

By the way, here are some stats on community cohesion:

* In 2020, only 27% of Black Americans reported feeling "strong sense of belonging" in their communities 🌎.
* Meanwhile, only 12% of white Americans felt the same way πŸ˜”
* According to a Gallup survey, communities with higher levels of diversity tend to have better civic engagement πŸ“ˆ

It's time for all Americans to come together and build on each other's strengths! 🀝

😊 you know what's really wild - have you ever tried to order food from those new vegan restaurants? like, I went to one last week and they had this "plant-based" version of my fave burger πŸ€”... it was literally just a portobello mushroom with some lettuce and tomato... um, no thanks! πŸ˜‚ what's next, is gonna be a restaurant that serves actual food made from plants? 🌱

I'm feeling really hopeful about Mayor Brandon Johnson right now πŸ™ŒπŸ’‘ he's like a breath of fresh air in politics - someone who truly cares about the people & not just power πŸ‘Š but what I love most is how he's emphasizing the importance of unity among all communities, especially Black Americans & other marginalized groups 🀝🏽 it's so true that our collective strength can be a game changer πŸ’ͺ and I think we should learn from our elders & their quiet acts of resistance πŸ™ those grandma vibes are still gonna save us one day 😊

πŸ€” Mayor Brandon Johnson is definitely the voice of reason right now. I mean, who else can bring those different communities together? His message of unity and coalition-building is so refreshing after all the divisiveness in politics lately πŸ’•. And I feel like Ben Jealous has a valid point about the erosion of community cohesion - it's crazy how things have changed since our grandmas and great-grandmas used to be the glue that held families and communities together πŸ™. We gotta make an effort to hold onto those bonds and support each other, especially now when democracy is feeling really fragile πŸ’₯.
