I don’t usually comment but... this whole thing with President Trump detaining Nicolás Maduro without informing Congress is just wild . Like, what even is going on here? The War Powers Resolution was put in place to prevent exactly this kind of scenario, and yet Trump is basically saying he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants .

I don’t get why some Republican lawmakers are being so quiet about this. Shouldn’t they be standing up for the Constitution and their own constituents? It feels like they’re more worried about going along with Trump's crowd than doing what’s right .

It’s also super concerning that Maduro is facing an uncertain future under US military presence . What are we even hoping to achieve here? Is this some kind of attempt at regime change or just a power play by the US government?
