Truth and AI in Minneapolis

I gotta say, this whole AI-generated content thing is getting outta hand 🤯. I mean, I've seen some sketchy vids online that had me questioning what was real and what wasn't. And now we're talking about how it's affecting high-profile events like this shooting? It's a wild ride, fam. People are so eager to share their thoughts and interpretations without fact-checking or verifying the info first 🤦‍♂️.

And don't even get me started on TikTok 📹. With all the drama surrounding its new ownership, I'm low-key nervous about what's gonna happen next. Will it become like Twitter? Only time will tell, I guess.

But you know what really got me thinking? The whole podcasting thing 💻. Is Netflix's involvement the end of independent podcasting as we know it? That's a tough one to wrap my head around. And David's question about how to pretend like you're making a phone call? lol, that's just weird 😂. But hey, at least he explored some fun options!

man i was watching this thing happen live on tv and it's crazy how fast info spreads online lol I mean i get why people wanna share their thoughts but sometimes those vids are so low quality u can barely make out what's happening 🤯 and then ppl start speculating left and right without even fact-checking it like whats the point of sharing that? anyway its wild how AI is involved now like we really need more proof before we believe some random vid online 🤔

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how quickly info spreads online 🤯. Like, I saw videos of the Minneapolis shooting on social media and they were already getting shared and interpreted by people in like, 5 minutes? And some of them had AI-generated stuff that was pretty convincing, but also super questionable 🤔.

I think this raises some interesting questions about how we consume info online. Are we just relying too much on these algorithms to tell us what's true or not? It feels like we're losing touch with reality sometimes 😕. And what's up with TikTok and its future? Is it gonna be like Twitter or something entirely different? 🤷‍♀️ Only time will tell, I guess.

And btw, have you guys tried making a fake phone call on the Vergecast Hotline? 📞 David's got some funny ideas on how to do it 👀.
