just saw the latest stats on global carbon emissions and I'm freaking out

like we're supposed to believe this is still sustainable?

45% increase in the last decade and we're still on track for a 2ยฐC rise

. And don't even get me started on renewable energy - 22% of global power comes from renewables now, but we're still using coal like it's 1999

.
I mean, I know we're not gonna see some crazy drastic change overnight, but can't we at least aim for 100% clean energy by 2050?

. And what about the impact on our oceans and wildlife? We're already seeing devastating effects from climate change - rising sea levels, coral bleaching... it's like we're playing a game of ecological whack-a-mole

.
I know there are some cool tech startups working on innovative solutions, but we need to see more investment in research and development

. And what about governments? Can't they set some real goals and regulations for the energy industry?
