the UK and France pledging a 'reassurance force' for Ukraine is a good thing
, I just hope it doesn't create more tension between Russia and the rest of Europe. i mean, we've seen what happens when you try to impose your will on someone who's already feeling frustrated and scared.
i'm also curious about how this 'reassurance force' will work in practice - will it be a permanent presence or just a temporary deployment? and how will we know if Russia is really committed to stopping its aggression?
personally, i think Ukraine deserves all the support it can get right now
. they've been through so much already and the last thing they need is more uncertainty.
