US ambassador warns UN that America is not all talk during Iran meeting: ‘Trump is a man of action’

US Ambassador Mike Waltz has delivered a stark warning to the United Nations, asserting that President Trump is not one for idle words but rather a man of action when it comes to supporting anti-government protesters in Iran.

In an emergency meeting at the UN Security Council, Waltz reiterated America's commitment to the protesters, stating that the US would take all necessary steps to ensure their safety. He described Trump as someone who "is a man of action, not endless talk like we see here," emphasizing that the commander-in-chief will not stand idly by if the protesters are threatened.

Waltz dismissed Tehran's claims that the protesters were part of a foreign plot, labeling them a "lie" and asserting that the Iranian regime is weaker than ever before. He further stated that the US will not be swayed by Tehran's allegations, saying that everyone needs to recognize the power of the Iranian people in the streets.

Meanwhile, Iranian-American activist Masih Alinejad echoed Waltz's sentiments, likening the Iranian government to the Islamic State terrorist group and demanding that its leader be treated as such if the killings are not brought to an end. She highlighted the plight of millions of innocent Iranians who have been silenced through bullets, arrests, and communications blackouts.

However, Deputy Iranian Ambassador Gholam Hossein Darzi fired back at Waltz's comments, accusing the US of attempting to justify a regime change through military intervention under the guise of supporting human rights. Russia also joined in, condemning the US for "blatant aggression and interference," attributing the volatile situation to America's own actions.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged all nations to exercise maximum restraint, warning that any further escalation could lead to a wider regional crisis. The call for calm comes amidst an increasingly volatile situation in Iran, where millions of protesters have taken to the streets demanding regime change and an end to human rights abuses.

just hope someone is listening to those ppl in iran 🤞 they're being silenced & killed 4 speaking out against their gov 💔 cant imagine how hard it must be for them to stand up 2 a system that's basically saying 'shut up' 2 u 🗣️ the fact that america's backing them makes me feel like maybe we can actually make a difference here 🌟

ugh, this is gonna end badly 🤕... US Ambassador Waltz just stirred up some serious trouble by basically saying the Iranian government is weak and that we should be supporting anti-government protests with military intervention... like, what's next? usa vs iran? 🚀 this whole situation is so reckless... russian and iranian diplomats are already calling us out for "blatant aggression"... how's that gonna play out in real life? 🤔

🤔 so i was just going through some old news vids and stumbled upon this thread about trump's stance on iran protests... idk what to make of it all tbh but it does seem like america is trying to assert its influence in the region? 🌎 meanwhile, the iranian gov is sounding pretty desperate with their claims that the protests are foreign-backed lol. anyone else think there might be more to this story than just us intervening for human rights? 🤷‍♂️

i think its super sus how america is justifying military intervention by saying they're trying to protect anti-government protesters 🤔. newsflash: iran has been dealing with internal unrest for decades and america's been involved in some shady stuff over there too... meanwhile, i'm not buying into the whole 'iranian regime = islamic state' narrative... seems like a stretch to me 🚫

The recent developments in Iran are indeed a pressing concern 🚨. While I appreciate Ambassador Waltz's strong stance in support of the anti-government protesters, I think it's essential to consider the complexities of this situation from multiple angles 🔍. One must acknowledge that the Iranian regime has faced numerous criticisms regarding human rights abuses and suppression of dissent, but we also can't ignore the historical context and regional dynamics at play 🌎.

The US's decision to take a firm stance against Iran is understandable given Washington's long-standing concerns about Tehran's nuclear program and regional influence, but it's crucial not to overlook the possibility that this could lead to unintended consequences 🤔. We need to remain vigilant and ensure that any actions taken are proportionate and carefully considered.

I also find Masih Alinejad's comparison of the Iranian government to ISIS quite striking 🔥. It highlights the severity of the situation and demands greater accountability from those in power 👊. However, we should proceed with caution, as diplomatic efforts must balance firmness with a nuanced understanding of regional sensitivities 🤝.

Ultimately, the United Nations' role is pivotal in mediating this crisis, and I hope that all parties can engage constructively to find a peaceful resolution 💬.

Man, thinkin' about this US Ambassador Waltz's words, it's like... we're livin' in a world where power plays are on full display, ya know? He's sayin' Trump is all about action, but what does that even mean? Is it just a way to hide behind rhetoric, or is he really willin' to put his money where his mouth is?

And then you got these Iranian protesters, fightin' for their lives, and America's all like "we got your backs." But at the same time, they're also sayin' that Iran's regime is weaker than ever? That's a pretty bold statement, if you ask me. It's like... we're tryin' to paint a picture with words, but what about when those words just ain't enough?

And Russia and Iran, they're all in on it too... it's like a big game of chess out there. The UN is callin' for restraint, but I'm thinkin', restraint means doin' nothin'. Where's the solution to this problem? We need some real talk, not just hot air. 🤔💬

OMG 🤯 I'm loving this US Ambassador Mike Waltz's stance on supporting those Iranian protesters 😊! He's all about taking action and not just talking tough, you know? 💪 And let's be real, the pics from the protests are straight fire 🔥 - those people are fighting for their lives and freedom, no cap 🙏. I'm also low-key impressed by Masih Alinejad's bravery in speaking out against the Iranian regime 👊 - she's like a total rockstar! 💃 Meanwhile, Russia and Iran need to chill, fam 😎 - this is all about human rights and democracy, not regime change or military intervention 🤖. The UN needs to keep it real and support those fighting for what's right 💯. Fingers crossed everything cools down soon 👀!

Omg u guys dont believe its getting worse 4real! US ambassador is warning them but Russia & Iran r like "nah bruh ur just trying 2 stir up trouble" meanwhile theres ppl dyin on the streets in Iran like millions of Iranians are being silenced by bullets & arrests 🤯💔

I gotta say, I'm low-key impressed by Mike Waltz's bold stance on this one 🤯. Like, you can't blame him for wanting to protect those anti-government protesters in Iran. It's not like they're just some random rioters who are causing trouble - they're the Iranian people demanding change and an end to human rights abuses. And let's be real, Tehran's claims about them being part of a foreign plot? Total BS 🙄.

But at the same time, I'm a bit worried that we're setting ourselves up for a whole new level of conflict here 🤔. Russia is already calling out the US for "blatant aggression and interference", and Iran is not going to take kindly to us trying to justify regime change through military intervention. Like, what's next? Are we just gonna send in some special forces to take down the Iranian government? 😬

I guess only time will tell if Mike Waltz's words are going to have some real-world consequences 🤞. But one thing's for sure - this situation is getting more and more intense by the minute, and it's anyone's guess how it'll all play out 💥.

idk how much more of this i can take 🙄 the us is basically saying they'll do whatever it takes to support these protesters but what about actually doing something instead of just tweeting a bunch of empty promises? like, trump's all action man but what about all the times he's messed up the us in international relations? and what about iran's protests being a symptom of deeper issues with their own government? are we really gonna pretend like everything is okay just because we're throwing some tough words at tehran? 🤔

🤔 I think Waltz's statement about Trump being a man of action is actually pretty interesting... or at least that's how it sounds to me. On one hand, you gotta give credit to Trump for not backing down when faced with threats from Iran. It shows he's willing to take bold steps if needed.

On the other hand, we don't know much about what exactly Trump plans to do, and some might see this as just a way to show off his tough guy credentials. Either way, it's clear that tensions are running high, and there's no easy solution in sight 🤷‍♂️. What's really needed is more constructive dialogue between the US, Iran, and other regional players... but I guess that's not exactly what we're seeing right now 😕.

I'm seeing this US Ambassador Mike Waltz's message as super concerning. America seems to be taking a pretty bold stance on this issue 🤯. I mean, Trump is known for being quite vocal, but now it sounds like the US is ready to take action if things escalate in Iran 😬. It's not surprising that Russia and Iran are pushing back against this though, as they don't want America to justify a military intervention under the guise of supporting human rights 🤔.

What's really concerning here is the rise of violence in Iran and how many innocent people are getting caught up in it 💔. Masih Alinejad's comments about the Iranian government being like the Islamic State were pretty eye-opening, but I wish she'd been more careful with her words ⚠️. At the end of the day, we need to be calling for an end to human rights abuses and for calm to prevail, not jumping into any kind of conflict 🙏.

I'm also wondering how this situation is going to play out. Will America's actions lead to a wider regional crisis or will they help bring about some kind of resolution? We'll just have to wait and see 🕰️.

omg u wont believe waltz just went HARD on teh iranian gov 🤯! like he called them out for tryin to blame the protests on foreign folks its such a lie 💔. and can we talk about masih alinejad she's killin it with her takedowns of the regime 👊. but seriously tho, this is gettin way too intense the US needs to stay calm & not let their emotions get the best of them 🙏. Russia's all like "US gotta stop" but i'm just over here thinking the UN should be tryna broker a peace deal 🤝. meanwhile Iran's people are dyin in the streets and no one's doin anythin 💔😡

OMG, I'm so hyped about Mike Waltz's stance on this!!! 🤩 It's like, we gotta stand with the Iranian people right now! They're fighting for their freedom and human rights, and it's totally unacceptable that they're facing all these violent crackdowns from the government. I love how Masih Alinejad is speaking out and demanding justice – she's a total hero 🙌! But, like, we gotta be careful not to jump into any hasty decisions or military interventions, you feel? 😬 We need more of a peaceful resolution here, with some solid diplomacy and support from the international community. Let's get behind the Iranian people and help them make their voices heard! 💪
