the drama never ends lol so Eric Swalwell is basically saying that his Republican colleagues are gonna be history's worst villains and they need to calm down about those Jan 6th hearings... I mean, who doesn't love a good accountability warning ? it's not like he has anything personal against them or anything (just kidding, we all know why). seriously though, Smith corroborating Swalwell's story just adds fuel to the fire. these investigations are still gonna keep going even if the Dems don't win in the midterms... interesting times ahead

It's like, if you're going to block an investigation, then you'd better have a good explanation for why you're doing it .

I also think it's awesome that Jack Smith is corroborating Swalwell's account and saying that he did everything right during the investigation . I mean, this is some serious stuff we're talking about here – the integrity of our democracy and all that jazz . But if Republicans are going to try to undermine these investigations, then they need to be prepared for the consequences. It's time to face the music and own up to your actions .

And let's not forget, even if Democrats lose control of Congress in the midterms, these investigations are still gonna happen . So, I think it's great that Swalwell is being a truth-teller and holding his colleagues accountable – it's about time someone did that !
