can't believe the priorities have shifted so much in such a short time . what's next, affordable housing? or how about fixing our roads that are literally falling apart? ICE is just a symptom of a bigger problem, but it seems like most people are more concerned with sounding "woke" than actually having a plan

It's crazy how quickly things change in politics . I was thinking about the upcoming election in New Jersey and how it's really shifted with all these recent events, especially those killings in Minneapolis . It's like everyone's suddenly super concerned about ICE and the Trump admin's actions . But for me, this just makes sense - we've gotta stand up against that kind of authoritarianism, you know? Analilia Mejia is definitely making some noise on the issue, and I think it's great that her campaign is educating people on what to do if they encounter ICE agents .

I'm not sure how much of a difference name recognition will actually make in this election, though . I mean, we're talking about a special election where voters are already pretty invested in the issue of affordability . For me, it's all about protecting our communities and pushing back against the kind of power-hungry behavior that ICE and the Trump admin are all about . Can't wait to see how this plays out on April 16th!

Ugh, can't believe how polarized politics has gotten . These 2 months are gonna be a wild ride... or so it feels like. I mean, we're literally voting on which candidate will push ICE enforcement to the backburner. What's next? Will we vote on whose turn it is to tweet about social justice?

I get that this is a super important issue for some people, but what about all the other concerns? Affordability, healthcare, education... don't they matter anymore? It feels like every election now is just about the latest controversy or outrage du jour. Can we please focus on finding solutions to these problems instead of just stirring up more division?
